The main reason this wasnt a 3 star review is because of the people. They are always friendly and helpful and on time or a little early.

My two main issues is the quality of the fruit, which like others in the reviews here have always left fruitflies. Since my first delivery, I have not been able to get rid of them and they are ALWAYS around and drive me nuts. I'll have to bomb my house this weekend in hopes that'll get rid of them. I hate doing this but now i just give the fruit away to the homeless in my neighborhood.

The second is the same old food every week. Mainly the pastas and the hardboiled eggs and pita and hummus. After a while it feels like im forgotten about and the monotonous menu is so bland sometimes and disappointing. Im not expecting cuisine every time but step it up.

That's not to say every once in a while we arent gifted with something more savory.

THis is also not to say I don't appreciate what they are doing, there are days when I have no food and this is all I have and it saves the day. An extra milk per delivery wouldn't hurt either.

Thank you for all you do.

I am so so happy to have these wonderful people in my neighborhood! However…PLEASE STOP MAKING U TURNS AS A MEANS TO FORGO DRIVING TO CORNER AND DOING IT THERE. I HAVE ASKED SEVERAL PEOPLE IN THE NICEST POSSIBLE WAY (And you know who you are), WHOM I HAVE ALMOST HIT MIND YOU, TO STOP DOING THIS AS SOMEONE TURNING RIGHT THERE IS GOING TO HIT ONE OF YOU AT SOME POINT. So please, please, please stop doing this before someone gets hurt. Thanks from one of your fellow neighbors and supporters.

Food is nutritious and delicious. God Bless the volunteers who make it happen. Being a Veteran and in bad health, this is redeeming. Thanks for your service.

My mom is blind was put on this program by Kaiser Health plan by her social worker I personally had this setup and gave these people my number and my moms number. Last Friday her meals did not show up going hungry all weekend I call first thing Monday morning to be put through to a answering machine where I ledt a message got a call at 3:21 pm that same day and was told my mothers meals were stopped because she failed to report her income. the lady swore up and down that the delivery person gave us a envelope with this information in it NOPE! nothing she also said they been calling my mom NOPE they only called friday they said they left voice mails well guess what there is not voice mail set up so how did this happen? This lady so heartless said my mom will have to wait until FRIDAY to get her meals back all because of this income thing they said we had to report that I never knew anything about. My mom relies on this program for her food source now she is not going to get it because its now too late for them to send her out any food she has to wait until FRIday now my mom will have to be admitted to a hospital so she can get meals because of this ridicules excuse why did they not mail us anything via US mail of this requirement they speak of is beyond me and they had my phone number to call but never did now she does not eat this is heartless irresponsible and I am not stoping here I am going to complain to there funding source we will see who is boss here, They could give her meals but they are heartless dont care for the disabled or elderly if they did they would listen to there caregivers that work tiredness hours to keep them safe in there homes. How can you stop a blind person meals over some income requirement when she had a referral from Kaiser anyhow.

As a volunteer they dont do enough. The staff should be retrained quite sloppy. And they expect people to work during the Pandemic but don’t provide diddly squat for you. Your using your own car They don’t even provide gas cards. They don’t even offer a bag of food for you to take home with you and your family. Like that’s the LEAST and free thing, they can provide you for your time. Their not like other volunteer places. Back and forth with work schedule.

As far as the clients they are wonderful and they love me and I’m actually in contact with a few that’s how much they love me. But as far as volunteering here Yeah no. You can help these people or any other underdog people another way.
