This organization takes in unwanted animals, gives them a loving home, and uses them as therapy and educational tools. Home to Dorothy, a sheep that visits schools and nursing homes, etc. sharing her love and affection for those who would never have a chance to interact with an animal. Others have memories brought back to life. While visiting there are chicks, goats, ducks and turkeys moving about and interacting with you. The young kids giggle holding a rabbit or a newborn chicken. Petting a goat can be so entertaining. Those in wheelchairs with a critter in their lap smile and memories come flooding back across their minds. My favorite is Murphy, a miniature donkey who greets me as I arrive and loves me petting him. I urge you to schedule a visit or have Dorothy make an appearance at your institution.
