The best shelter in Chicago you just have to have the motivation to get urself the F.O.T. ASAP bc all they can do is provide links for ya to get ur stuff together and u have to go and get it. . Lol I'm stoned af rn rolling 🤣 up another one just thinking 💭 about how many times it took me before I got it together lmfao yall have a good one ... thanks again staff and all the very sexy volunteers that put food in my belly mwah... 2 year ago I posted this is the two year update thanks again for giving me shelter during my drinking days I'm glad to say as of December 25th 2023 I've been sober and have started establishing my credit and am financing a car so I can go on my second year as one of the best tractor and skid steer assembler they will ever see...

Everyone say this the best shelter let me tell you it's the worst...

Evet she works the midnight shift, alway treating everyone with hate now if it's a woman she will hate you unless drugs are done with her then she passes out all night long,
Call Henry he will not do nothing about her I told highest person in charge they did not she literally doses drugs treats people in the house reall bad and the men she tries to like in get close too she even slept with a few of them she really discussed me I really seen it in real life what they allow this woman to do pbe aware she will smoke heron with you

Then the rest of the staff all they do is show high favorites they choose a few over all the rest who they feed extra and starve the rest be careful of this shelter and they don't actually try to help you like the other shelters they choose a vary little people and pocket a lot of theses donations and don't give nothing much at all to the homeless

Not really any Christians are staff members that cares about our community but nice they get paid to keep feeding drug addicts and not help out the ones that has ambition. They force me to live outside with Epilepsy even though 311 referred me as well as Salvation Army. Racism by staff is a big problem in this place I've learned since 2015 still no changes.

This is hands down the best shelter for adults in Chicago. They have case managers on staff that provide help with obtaining and keeping housing. They help you save your money so you can afford an apartment on your own. Staff are very caring. Guests at the homeless shelter pay it forward by doing chores 3 to 4 times a week. There's lots of helpful classes that are run by qualified volunteers. Some of the classes include money management, classes about employment, etc... The facilities are really nice. There is a computer room where you can look for employment, a day community room where you can read, watch TV, converse with other people, or keep to yourself. The sleeping arrangements are separated by gender. Women are one side and men are on the other. There's bunk beds so it feels more private compared to other shelters. Even though it's located in a Church, this shelter isn't Religious based, nor do they make you pray for services like other homeless shelters in Chicago make you do for services. I highly recommend this shelter if you're willing to put in the effort to make your life better.

At frst hey I can do this n soon as come in the staff put me in a room with filthy roommate!! And then they put me out fr really no reason after they lied n said they would fix situations n talk to me!! I had very bad experience n here I was homeless fr 15 yrs in Chicago n now I know y ppl choose to sleep outside like I did versus a shelter!!! N cause they put me out in days time instead of giving me time to adjust they were bogus

This is a great organization doing great things for those in need! Run by people that are passionate and caring. We had a tour of the facility and saw first hand how much good they provide those in need. It's spotless and ideas a full range of services for their clients.
