I'm reviewing Camp Ketcha as a wedding venue. I'll start out my saying that I am a wedding photographer who travels all over the state of Maine photographing weddings so I work at a lot of different wedding venues. Camp Ketcha was such a wonderful experience all around for both myself and my clients who got married there. The whole day went along seamlessly thanks to their professional and organized team. I'd recommend Camp Ketcha to anyone looking for a great place to get married in Maine!

What an incredible experience for my 4 year old! We sent her for winter vacation camp, and as a shy kid - she went running into the program on the second day with all the excitement in the world. The facility is beautiful, and the staff are so friendly and engaging with the kiddos. They kept her busy outside and she couldn’t wait to go back the following day. I am so thankful a place like this exists for kiddos!

Had our wedding reception here in Fall 2021. A few words to any thinking that they may do the same: think twice.

The price is not bad, but they nickel and dime you on hours (additional $250 per hour) You get 8 hours to start and this included set-up and breakdown times. They set up chairs and tables, but little else. The tiny kitchen and refrigerator is not suitable for large events.

They also are poor communicators, our event coordinator was replaced and we weren’t even informed (we actually didn’t even meet her during the entire event.) We had a medical emergency at the end of our event, causing us to go over our allotted time. They responded by fining us an additional $350 the day after while we were still on our honeymoon.

All in all, beautiful space, but not a venue I would suggest for a wedding, as their staff obviously does not value running a events program that works for their customers that are paying thousands of dollars. They seem much more interested and invested in their children’s programs. Maybe they should stick to that.

I attended a wedding recently that had both the ceremony and reception right on site at Camp Ketcha. The property itself was beautiful, with a nice covered area for post-ceremony snacks and cocktail hour. The main event hall had been decorated for the reception and was both spacious and pleasant to look at. Having a kitchen area inside the same main building was extremely handy for preparing the reception meal and also for clean-up.

Best summer camp I’ve seen. Great for kids of all ages, tons of useful stuff, my most liked thing I’ve seen done here is teaching kids what is and isn’t edible in nature. Lovely lake and pool too.

They shut down the only thing my daughter looked forward to this summer...the equestrian program. Now she is loosing her best freinds, horses, and barn mates. Do not reccomend.

Bad experience. The woman who runs the lessons was mean to the teacher on her staff who provided lessons for my daughter. It was shocking.
