The international wolf center in Ely, Minnesota is a state treasure. It is designed to teach and inspire the world to learn more about wolves and their ecology. We signed up for a specific program that is offered only a few times a year where you are allowed to stay at the International Wolf Center overnight and observe the wolves in their habitat during nighttime hours. The staff was amazing and I've learned so much from this experience. This organization also offers a wolf link. Virtual learning program and school programs.

We’ve been here and not seen live wolves at all, and when they’ve all been right up by the window. It’s still a great place to visit whether you see them or not. There are some informative and entertaining exhibits and the staff is happy to be there and happy to help.

No agenda here, except a passion for helping people better understand the wolves.
As controversial as they can be, the Wolf Center does a fantastic job of presenting both sides of the wolves story.
Very educational and entertaining way to spend an afternoon or a whole day.

Yo, I got to watch like four Wolves eat a deer head and shoulder and the women who worked there knew soooooo much rad stuff about the Wolves. The entire exhibit is rad af! I liked Ely a lot, in general, but this place is worth the trip on its own. And you can watch the Wolves on camera on the website like any time! My friend watched the same Wolves eat the same deer carcass on his phone while I watched it live, and he was in Seattle.

You should check this place out.

The International Wolf Center should be a must see stop over for anyone traveling through the area. There is something here for people of all ages.

There is so much information available here, and everything is set up in a manner that it is easy to understand the information. Also, there is a special handson section for kids.

You may or may not see the wolves. They come and go in the viewing area. We happened to see them in the middle of the day, but we were told early morning and late evening is the best time to see them.

There are various films being played throughout the day. Also, some of the staff give presentations on the wolves as well as a question and answer period afterward.

Of course the gift shop is pretty cool. And the profits from the gift shop go towards the preservation of the wild wolves.

Excited to finally squeeze in a visit after decades. The center is well designed and very informative. Children’s area is tucked away from the main exhibit. Large windows look into the wolf habitat giving guests front row seats to their life at the center. We waited around to ensure we got a good glimpse of the pack. Comparing it to the other predator center in town, this one feels much more organized and I would strongly recommend it over the other. Not a “don’t miss” if you’ve been to other places that care for wolves, but a great option if you’re in Ely looking for something to do.

I love the exhibits, and I love seeing the wolves just chill around. It's good for a nice Saturday morning trip, and after that it's really close to some other restaurants after your visit.

This exhibit is interesting to see for ALL ages! 🐺

1000/10 experience!

Our group was 14, 5 adults and children of all ages. Timing was perfect as we were able to observe all the wolves! Attended two lectures in the auditorium, checked out the exhibits, and there is an area for children to explore, color pages of each wolf they saw. Overall a wonderful experience. Highly recommend going there if you are a lover of wolves or just want to learn about them. Loved seeing all the wolves, but Blackstone was my favorite.
