I had been in outpatient treatment at Zumbro Valley in Rochester from March 25- May 31 and then transferred over to IMS due to convenience since I reside in Austin. Everything went well initially. I enjoyed participating in the discussions even though I felt uncomfortably judged and questioned about my spirituality when a male supervisor counselor would also attend. Also witnesses other female clients cry when this person was questioning them etc. Anyways I always passed my UAs and I graduated onto the one day a week portion. I admit I had returned to work at this time when I had been off a bit so I was late subsequent sessions, but was never counseled on it or made to believe it was a big problem. I just figured that the time I missed, would extend my program a little longer probably since I had been doing so good and wrote down the name of any videos we watched in class so I could watch them on my own time to keep up. The whole time I was in the program during one, 1:1 session I was given an assignment which I did complete and share. My treatment counselor wrote a letter to the board of nursing as did my Peer Support Specialist and my Mental Health NP from there in support of me and my progress. I had also gotten a new sponsor which I shared in class and was going to begin the step work with her. I had discussed my graduation date with her the week of the 11th of October 2023 as a peer of mine was supposed to graduate the same day. Well an hour before I was supposed to go to treatment on Wed Oct 18th, 2023 I received a text message from Taylor Anderson my treatment counselor stating that I didn't have to worry about coming in that morning because I was being discharged from the program for attendance issues and non-compliance with the treatment program. Once I saw the treatment plan i was absolutely stunned at the lies and the ways my words had been twisted to make me sound horrible. I have witnesses from class who knew exactly what I said that day. She wrote that I said " I can't wait for this all to be over so I can go out and use," when my words when answering a question she asked were "I can't guarantee I will be able to maintain my sobriety if I lose my nursing license at my upcoming board meeting" We all have just for today and its a day by day thing anyways. She also wrote on my discharge plan that I was still in contact with exes that use. The two exes she was talking about are both in prison and are actually positive sober supports and want to see me succeed. I never once said I had been hanging out with using friends as she had written as well. I had been going to an overabundance of meetings the past 3 years and there was a little misunderstanding so I said I wasn't going to the AA club anymore for a couple of weeks and with working long days I didn't make it home in time to go to meetings but was around professionals, doctors etc all day long. I had still been attending church and was doing online nurses meeting. I just wasn't hanging out with anyone because I was tired and wanted to spend my little free time with my kids. I was still attending sober events as they came up. Well the good thing is I had my board meeting and I am keeping my license. The bad and really really irritating thing and expensive thing is that I had to find a new program to start over entirely because I had been discharged from IMS. I am not happy at all with my treatment and lack of communication on their part at the end. I've never been kicked out of anything or fired in my life and I did not deserve it. And a text message notification an hour before class, rather than having me come in. Very poor communication on their part and lack of professionalism. Like I said I had never received one warning on my attendance and I had never failed one drug test which I had always asked her to observe for the program I was in. NO STARS but it forces you to give one to submit. Don't trust them and anything you say can be turned around and used against you.

I missed an appointment because I'm going through things with my living situation and haven't had a working bathroom and other things wrong with the property and has explained it to workers plus let them see videos on how I was treated and I have physical and mental things going on.life happened and I missed a 8a.m. appointment.ive been calling Aron one of the workers and he called me back once and knew I was working.been reaching out to him won't return calls and I'll call him at 9a.m. the desk receptionist gets upset that I ask for email address after telling her he's not answering my calls.hopefully it doesn't feel like stress to get help from a place that says they can help.a client shouldn't feel like I ke they are being a bother to a professional place like this.i won't feel uncomfortable for trying to set another meeting up when all it takes is 3 minutes hopefully The dynamics change that I feel at least comfortable with someone. I'm new to this process give me a chance

Ims is the best place in the area for Chemical Dependency, Therapy, and Medication management. Everybody that works there is so nice and helpful and I recommend it for anyone that needs additional help with anything they are going through. Highly recommended!

The court appointed guardianship of my mother has been a nightmare...I would never recommend this place. I will follow up with emails received which made me break out in tears, they are condescending and rude to family members...point out how much of their time you waste and how busy they are with other clients and should only spend 3 hours a month with clients so family is shoved to the side. I honestly cannot believe the courts put these people into a power position over someones life.
