Mom has lived at Independence Village White Lake for almost 8 years. She has been able to maintain her independence and make her own choices. The activity selections are great and she loves chair volleyball, the music and being able to walk outside in good weather. While initially she was happy to fix all of her own meals, she now enjoys dinner with the other residents - again making her own choices based on desire and needs. The staff are supportive, kind, understanding and don't marginalize the residents. Mom is happy we found IV and her family knows she is happy and safe.

We just had a WONDERFUL Easter dinner at Independence Village with our mom and our entire family of 12. The food was fabulous, staff is amazing and we all said it was the best Easter Brunch we’ve had! I can’t say enough about Independence, my mom loves interacting with the residents and staff and she is safe.

My mother in law, my father and my stepmother all lived at IV White Lake. The care they received was exceptional, the staff were so compassionate and kind to them in every way. Apartments are lovely and the food is outstanding, we shared many meals with them while they were there and couldn't believe the quality. All 3 loved the food and I never heard a complaint. They have very little turnover in staff so they form a relationship with the residents and are so professional. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Independence Village is one of the most welcoming senior homes I've ever visited. The staff was absolutely incredible! The Executive Director, the Wellness Director, all of the staff in between, and the residents as well, were all so welcoming and kind. It was so refreshing to see all of the smiling faces on the residents, especially with the hard times we've all been facing with COVID-19. I would 100% recommend Independence Village to anyone looking for a safe, friendly, and lovely place to send their loved ones!!!
