My aunt has lived at Independence Village of Saginaw for a while now, and every time I visit, she raves about the facility. There is always something for her to do, like crafts and exercise. She has made so many great friends here. Special shoutout to Deb, Ellen, and Brooke, who always welcome everyone with a smile and treat the residents like family. My aunt loves Independence Village of Saginaw, and so does the rest of my family!

I'd give this a 5 but currently we have to deal with "homestead" for assisted living help, and that's a nightmare. (Some of the girls are pretty great...., but it's a case of "a few bad/under staffed apples ruin the bunch) So we are trying to get that mess worked out currently.

But Wescourt its self is fantastic, as my Mom said " it feels like home" also my extremely picky Mom often says the food is fantastic or delicious. (I can attest, what I've eaten is on par for a restaurant) the residents are really nice and help each other out . The building is pet friendly and the staff seem to really care about the residents and their families.

It’s hard not to get excited about all the changes occurring within the community. Independence Village, a part of StoryPoint Group is now managing the property. In addition to a beautiful facelift, the community is also getting a new layer of support by partnering with CorsoCare Personal Care and Powerback Therapy services.

Having a beautiful building is an asset, but having the availability of reliable compassionate care is a necessity. CorsoCare Personal Care is moving into the community to be the on-site preferred third-party provider. The availability of their dedicated and well-trained home care staff means the seniors at Independence Village can maintain that independence as long as possible, but have the option for 24/7 care to allow them to safely age in place.

There is a care navigator that routinely visits to ensure residents and their families have that personalized guidance to assist during those difficult transitions. This isn’t just a new paint job and a new sign, it’s a new option for care for the seniors of Saginaw.

The Independence Village staff along with their on-site partners offer peace of mind and an unparalleled sense of belonging giving the residents something to look forward to each day.

Wescourt facility has been my dad’s home for many years and he is very happy with the services and activities available to him. Administration and staff treat each resident as a family member and always ready to assist them whenever needed. I’m at ease knowing my dad is in a safe and secure community.
