VHP is a phenomenal organization that creates unique relationships, lifelong memories, and the preservation of invaluable history. The opportunity that students have to learn about historical events through interviews with military veterans far exceeds the experience provided by just a textbook. VHP is a wonderful non-profit that marries young students with our National Treasures - our heroic Military Veterans. Stories shared by our Veterans are invaluable in the learning process for our high school students. The students develop a better understanding of the sacrifices our Veterans have made, to provide our Country with the blanket of Freedom that so many enjoy in their daily lives.

Veterans Heritage Project is an amazing organization. Veterans get to tell their story and students learn about history, service and sacrifice in a way that they never could from a textbook. My daughter started with VHP after school as a freshman and stayed for all four years. I am happy to support VHP and their mission both financially and with my time through volunteering.

This is truly the most remarkable program I have ever been involved with, period. My son participated in VHP during his high school years and I believe this program changed his life from a shy reserved young teen to the successful, confident, articulate man he’s become today. Connecting with his veterans gave him a world perspective few teens are lucky enough to experience.
My son graduated from high school in 2010. I was so convinced of the value of VHP that I served on its Board of Directors for 8 years and continue to volunteer my time even today.
This is a transformational program for the students involved, the veterans who are interviewed, their families and the whole community. VHP is shaping the futures of countless young people who will be tomorrow’s leaders.

Our family has supported Veteran organizations for several years. We moved to Arizona in 2016 right before our daughter was to begin high school and immediately started looking for organizations to volunteer with. Our daughter joined the VHP chapter at Cactus Shadows High School and participated all four years. As her parents, we fell in love with the mission of VHP and watched how this amazing program help to shape the beautiful young woman she is today. Although she has headed off to college, our family has remained active with VHP and will continue to do so for many years to come. Thank you VHP for connecting Students with Veterans.

The Veterans Heritage Project (VHP) is a unique program which serves both students and Veteran and performs a vital function of connecting Veterans to the community.

I'm a three war combat Veteran and I've been associated with VHP for about a decade and would highly recommend it to individuals and educational institutions. And it's one of the most well run nonprofits I've ever experienced.

Veterans Heritage Project not only honors those who served our nation by memorializing our veterans military service but they instill in our youth a sense of service, duty and the sacrifices so many gave for our country. VHP is perhaps the best civics course we could give to our children.
