I stayed here starting in January 2020 until it closed at the end of March. Most of the workers are friendly but a few are very two faced. I volunteered and loved doing that. Food was awesome. Chef Mike is amazing. I also really liked Maverick and the guy they called The Rock, I think his name was Eric and some of the other workers. Also went to the day center during the day of course. One of the case workers there didn’t like me because she was too close to my friend at the time. I think she had the hots for him. Needless to say I’m back on my feet and back home in Missouri with my family doing good. I would recommend this place to anyone experiencing homelessness in this area of California. Just watch who you hang around with because most of the people who go to this place are into not so great things. All in all it was a very humbling experience for me.

RUDE UNPLEASANT UNHELPFUL daytime intake staff.
They all need to be replaced with more caring people who are trained.
They don't enforce rules for sleeping hours and even if security tried nobody listens or follows rules for "quiet time".
They make you sleep on cots, not real beds and they mix you up with the men and women together in the same area. Not good!
Men are coming to the women's side to hang around right next to your bed while you're trying to sleep.
Expect no privacy and there is no way you can sleep a wink comfortably with noises all night long and people walking in and out going to the bathrooms.
This is not the military!
Stop treating people like animals and being so cheap and put up real beds with thin plastic mattress pads at the very least.
Positive reasons why I give 2 stars:
You do meet nice people who are in the same position as you and the food ain't bad either.

A friend recommended I donate stuff to Hope of the Valley instead of Goodwill. They actively take care of the community. It felt like my stuff would do more good there.
