Hope for homes is a shelter full of false hopes and dreams if you are a participant a lot participate doesn’t get the proper support the food be expired they have no hot water or soap, staff doesn’t care to report important information the shelter is not up to code you have staff dating each other on 3rd monitor kissing their lead staff threatening participants walking for the shelter was stressful and it kept me sick. They say the shelter got better I don’t see how in a month but I’ll let the new people be the judge of that. 💙

Intake to get into the shelter is meeting with a worker. Getting a bed and trying to get a locker took some time.About a month. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is at 7 AM 12 PM and 5 PM for dinner. Rather early. Each one offers a one hour time period then it closes the window in the cafeteria style window. They offer showers, restrooms, smoking area, which is rather large and tables, to sit on to eat like a park style. These tables need pressure washing to rid if germs and sticky tables Some of the workers are very nice and offer Good advice and help, While some participants say they haven't talked to the worker in quite some time. My Worker is grewt and helpful i think it depends hownmuch effort you put into this .. They offer a path to housing ,dealing with the house navigators as long as you have income or a job, they will help you based on your individual income, which is very nice. The staff that works here some Help on the female side and others on the male side, they swap back and forth. Some are very helpful and nice. Others just see it as a job and are not really concerned about you. Personally, or you're well-being? That's the difficult part of being a homeless person in a shelter and dealing with other people and there individual issues. As far as alcoholism, or drug addiction or mental health. Overall, it is a good place, and it's great to be here and enjoy a lot of the Staff that are very easy to get along with. They also offer Support group meetings
To help with transitioning frim shelter to living arrangements. Some staff do much while some others allow them to without putting forth as much .As long as you follow the rules, some made up as they go it would seem .Overall grateful 🙏 to be here and look forward to regaining my dignity and housing to move forward. Thank you to the hard workers here who make it liveable .

Look I'm seeing a lot of complaints, I love it there, yeah there is a few issues there but how can someone who been on the streets go into a place where they feed you 3 times a day, give you snacks, have laundry on sight, and showers to keep you clean, give you lockers and clean sheets, yeah I know the bathrooms are dirty that's because some of the people who live there bring in bad habits from the streets or prison system and start turning it into filth it's not the staffs fault people are dirty I live there I see the staff work hard and clean after other people's mess all the time, I THANK JESUS EVERYDAY he blessed me with hope for home, I get up go to work,go to hope, shower, eat, pray, read the Bible and repeat, alot of y'all on these comments sections are truly ungrateful

To be accepted you must be Pomona Resident only before entering this homeless shelter. If you didn’t stay in Pomona don’t waste your time.

Small portions of meals. And they need to work on the coffee's availability and taste! More often than not there is none and it taste's pretty rank!
The dining tables are very dirty, for health reasons I hope they take action to clean them throughly! The majority of the staff are okay.

Had a bad experience staying there. Bathrooms looked unsanitary, so was volunteering to help keep the men's bathroom clean. Unfortunately, caught a really bad flu virus. On a positive note, after 3 unsuccessful attempts to collect my mail.
A very nice woman came & helped me. She finally was able to find it. They lost all of my personal belongings, but at least she helped recover some of my personal mail. Hard to reach them by phone.

It became an arduous prison yard. They will kick you out for 6 months in a so called 3 month program. They like punishing the poor by making up rules on the spot and you can't get a hold of any professional. I say it's a scam. Do you like expired food and being treated with disrespect? Come to hope for home. The place is built on lies and deception. The homeless are a profit and they'd like to keep it that way. If you have any ideas for improvement, they don't want to hear it. Education and improvement are not their forte. The "case" workers don't actually do anything. They're just there to keep the money flowing to their pockets so they can buy big cowboy hats and dine at the all you can eat buffet. They are not to be trusted. They just come up to you with a piece of paper that they'd like you to sign every month. They call it a "monthly." They don't care about who you are. You're merely a number that they can't wait to get over with when they count you so they can go home. There's a good flow of illegal drugs but they're more concerned about marijuana. They gaslight, belittle you and treat you as if you know no better and usually up to no good as if you're all criminals. They will make up fake rules and if you don't abide by them, they will send you out the gate for a short while as punishment. There's no rule that says they can do that either. These rules aren't written anywhere. Or if there is a sign, it has too much information all designed to mess with you psychologically. Their goal is to break you and keep you in line. You are not respected as people. They don't respect your intelligence. They have more respect for the drug addicts and allow you to overdose anytime but if you are trying to better yourself, you are treated like dirt and will pick on you for no good reason at all. They have "grievance" letters you can write if you file a complaint but they do nothing about it when you turn it in. You're susceptible to physical attacks and they will take the side of the abuser than those who are being hurt so you could be in serious danger at any given moment. The worst part is that they call you "the participants" as if you signed up by choice like some kind of sick game show. They could simply call you people or residents but that may be to generous. It's not the hope for home way. The bare minimum or as I call it, a bullshit operation. Read Lacia Yates (aka CeCe) review. She may seem friendly and bubbly in her review but she's a con. Evil woman. Julia was let go, so there are some slight improvements. Move forward if you can. Its a trap. You will be left confused and annoyed of just how unprofessional these people are. A complete and total joke.
