Horrible treatment plans. If you want you child on pills and doped up, send them there. They will see their treatment binders 1 time a month for a quick assignment but not very thought provoked. Youth hate it there and staff does too.

I stayed here twice, once when I was 13 and again when I was 15, it's terrible, the biggest atrocity though in my time there was that the therapist on my unit was having sexual relationships with two of the boys, on top of that so were several other staff, overall don't send your kids here

Not as holy as they pretend to be. I was taken from my mother and placed there so I could get emothional help and all they did was label you with what they think is wrong with and treat you diffently from others. Lots of favorites, and head games. If you talk about family issues in group, your talked about and shamed. Your issues also get thrown back in your face. The rules are regularly broken with no consequences unless your not a favorite. Do not send your kids here ever!

This place changed my life. I was there from 2006 to 2008. From age 16-18. While the beginning of my stay wasn’t very pleasant, but after I started to work my program and followed simple rules, I was able to graduate the program and change my life for the better. I’m 32 now, with my own child and have always remembered this place while making some decisions in my life. I would love to come back and speak if they would have me. I will always love this place.

Was trapped there 87-88. Useless program. Was there one year and all I had to do to go home was run away. 75% of the people from back then are in prison or dead. Tell me how they help kids. My mother said sending me there was the biggest mistake she made.

I was Here back in 1995 to 97 as a teen. There was maybe 2 staff who seemed to really care about. These used horrible shaming and demoralizing tactics to get us to comply to rules. As a Licensed social worker now I truly Hope they have adapted a trauma informed approach and work to heal and provide a safe place for youth. …..my star review was more of a way to post a review and share a success story. Not all of us kids in the home did bad we just needed love.

Refused to acknowledge I have epilepsy when I was there , I was on girls south. Even had a grand mahl that put me in the hospital. Due to the petit mahls I used to walk into things and people without realizing it. Because I didn't notice I would walk into things they labeled me as predatory and I was denied treatment for two+ years , their excuse was I never made it off what they called "boundaries". I was never even allowed to give my life story in group therapy let alone talk about any issues. I have recently been contacted by people I was locked up with , they told me st Vincent's allowed them to keep all my journals and they threatened to post them on social media
If you want help and rehabilitation for your child this is NOT the place to get it ...it's been 20 years and all that happened here still gives me nightmares and I'm still scared to so much as hug my own mother.
