I had such a fantastic day thanks to Cindy at the nursery! She was SO knowledgeable and helpful, and the plants were absolutely THRIVING! I ended up calling friends when I got there because they had such a fantastic selection of water plants.
We were there for a good while and she was more than happy to help us all our questions and just made the whole experience so so pleasant.
You can tell this lady loves her plants!!

The women in the garden department, Cindy and Charlie are so helpful! I stopped by a few weeks ago to see what they had. OMG! They have water plants, and not just one or two, but a good selection. I had given up finding any locally after searching for years. I mentioned to Cindy that I was having some problems with my small water feature, and she made a recommendation that totally worked. I returned a few weeks later to get more water plants and met Charlie. She was so friendly and helpful it just made my day. Today I stopped by again. It getting to be a habit.

I just love hills flat lumber I am a member or have an account with you guys I just have to say thanks for your help I gave up plumbing and I'm going to stick to my garden and plants you guys have a very good wide selection of soils and fertilizers and I do have to mention that I obtained excellent customer service from I believe her name is Charlie in the garden apartment of course Cindy is awesome as well but Charlie help me the other day and was very courteous efficient and very cordial thank you Charlie appreciate it Miss ma'am 👍

I like the home town feel, and the employees are usually actually quite helpful, unlike the "other" hardware store (Home Depot). But sometimes I'm blown away at some of their pricing. On occasion it's definitely proven to be worth the drive to Auburn to get the same thing for cheaper... Even with the added cost of gas is still worth it on occasion... But I try and stay "local" and shop here whenever I can. Other than prices, they are a much better store than the "other" guys...

Another great shopping experience at hills flat lumber in Colfax due to Cindy being knowledgeable about zones fertilizers and placement of my deciduous maple trees ! He even helped me load up bags of soil thank you Cindy and thank you he was flat lumber Cindy is an absolute asset to the company she made my day go by a whole lot quicker and smoother!!! 👍😻🙀😸🐱👍

I rearly leave reviews let alone 5 star reviews but at the Colfax hils flat lumber I found an emplyee named Cindy in garden who is a joy to deal with with her vast knowledge and great personality. Looking forward to my next visit since I know I'll be well cared for not just her but all the friendly staff at this store which is nothing like the big box store mentality. It's refreshing
