I can’t say enough wonderful things about Hickory Park but let me try. I had been searching for the perfect place for my then 94 yr old aunt. I had visited 8 different facilities. From the moment I meet with Danielle Fischer (little did I know she wears many hats)I knew this would be my new aunts home. The facility is clean welcoming and positive. But what really sets it apart is the people that work there. I moved my aunt Bess up from Florida so I anticipated a difficult start to establishing new friends and settling into her new home. I was surprised to see how quickly she adjusted it was all made possible by the staff. Danielle was very active in developing a friendship of trust with Bess, taking the time to meet staff and make friends. Care was taken in finding the right dining partner who have since become good friends and look out for each other. Recently there was a need to elevate Bess’s care from independent to assisted living. Once again the staff stepped up including Marina, Daniella and caregivers. It is not unusual to see staff members visiting with residents, they make everyone feel like their 2nd family. I apologize this is so long but have to mention the food it’s homemade! Bess and I feel blessed to be apart of the Hickory Park family. I would Highly recommend.

Our mom met someone who was staying here at a rehab place.At first we thought she’d need intensive care, but she ended up only needing assisted. Since arriving she’s got off her walker and does a lot of things! She’s now at independent level because of her progress here- it could have gone otherwise… We visited at least 8 places and this was the community we thought she would fit in with. Smaller group and friendly, activités a plenty, but not too much. Our mom is living her best self /life here at this time. It’s truly the place for her to thrive. thanks to Danielle and her team who are engaged and truly love the people here.

I don’t know what Rachel is referring to, but I was present when my mom, her grams, was asking to be toileted and was told she was “wearing a pad, just urinate in that. “. Staff sat around chatting rather than taking residents for walks etc. Receptionist was very off putting and unfriendly.

Assisted living implies being helped, not charging ridiculous prices and never providing the care for which you are paying. They care nothing for your family member's quality of life, and lie when confronted about lack of care (even to the point of saying your family member refuses help). The care givers have been confrontational with my family member when asked simple questions. I am appalled with what I've heard! I myself, before the pandemic, witnessed another resident in assisted living helping the people at the lunch table with opening and buttering things as the staff stood idly by. They take advantage of the idea that old people are senile and can't remember what happened in order to turn a profit. Please check on your family members as the pandemic continues, unexplained injuries and neglect can happen when you don't!

Recently moved my grandpa-in-law here. Nice layout, food is good & you can have meals with family too for an additional cost. They take bus trips to local stores & staff is friendly.

What great residents love here.. I love the fact that people get to go on trips to stores. They do all kids of activities every day.. The executive director Noel is so friendly and outgoing to make everybody feel welcome

My friend's mother lived here and now my friend lives here. Very nice surroundings with lots of activities and attentive staff.
