I am local business owner in the neighborhood and I cannot say more about how fantastic the team at Helpers Community is.

Their business brings vibrancy and community to our neighborhood and we are so fortunate to consider them partners.

We are lucky enough to showcase their artist's work on our shelves and we collaborate on multiple events throughout the year.

Marilyn and her team are a dream to work with. Make sure you drop in the next time you are on Union Street and support some local artists!

I just love the Helpers boutique on Union Street; it's a double joy. It's heartwarming to see a retail training base for special needs individuals in a social, premium commercial neighborhood, and not in a tucked away corner in a warehouse district. This fun shop offers a real-life retail environment for them to train, and the other big benefit is that the store sells goods designed and made by individuals with developmental disabilities.

The second joy is the products; I just love their vintage stuff animals - I snatched a giraffe and several raccoons for gifts, but kept one for myself. I'm also a big fan of their candles, soaps (sells out fast so grab them while you can), chocolates and notecards. There's always something new, which has me going back often, and unlike shopping at department stores, my purchases here are doing good.

I love this store! Everything they sell is made by people with disabilities, and the items are beautiful. I have purchased gifts for friends and family, baby gifts, yummy chocolates, candles, notecards (love the notecards!) The store is in a great part of San Francisco, and is beautifully laid out. Plus the people who work there could not be nicer or more helpful. Every time I need something special this is my go-to place.
