Haven was absolutely incredible. Walking in, i didn’t know what to expect but these women helped me way more than i ever anticipated. I felt so seen and was instantly accepted with open arms and care. All help i received was so genuine and every time i leave, some sort of weight is lifted off of my shoulders. Highly recommend!!!!

I called them to get in there for counseling in August of last year. I was told there was a 2 month waiting list and that my with my situation I may not meet the criteria and she could find me some referrals saying she would get back with me and never did. As months went by I basically gave up on them. I tried to contact them again January getting a reply that I never submitted my information and there was a 2-3 month wait list. Thought that’s what I did in August so now I was being put off even longer.
I have used their counseling services a few years back and they were great. But now, whomever is running the show now basically blows you off. Domestic abuse runs far more than physical, assault, sexual, financial, etc. I’ve really been needing some guidance in speaking with someone about what’s going on and I am feel like they keep putting me off and I am no longer going to bother with them.

Wish i could leave negative stars. Been calling for 2 months for shelter. Today I call and suddenly they tell me they cant disclose if shelter space is open over the phone. How else would anyone know when a space opened? Haven isnt a shelter you can just walk in to. Never got called back about support groups or anything. This place is a joke.

The worst shelter I was in with my son. I never received any help from my case manager... I only received fear and more fear and notifications from my case manager about the length of my stay.

I had a good time at haven staff was completely amazing one thing I did not like is how my roommate told me she was going to beat tf outta me&’ make me need new braces n staff still expected me to sleep in the room with her ?!? Like what ? I thought nobody was supposed to threaten your life there or make u feel uncomfortable ? Which I did very much n I feel like they did not do enough but I love haven they help you with so much n help u get back on track !

I called seeking shelter away from my abusive boyfriend and I called haven. The lady on the phone asked me if my son was their when the abuse happen . I said yes. She said she was calling cps on me. I asked her was she offering shelter ,she couldn't answer. I told her my son wasn't being abused she said she was still going to call cps because he was in the home . I told her he was not abused . She didn't care. They were not trying to help just make things harder.

I was hung up on 40 seconds into telling my story when I mentioned that my soon to be ex-husband was addicted to CP. I called back was on hold for almost an hour. No one ever answered the call.

Before I met my wife, this is where I ended up taking her out of and we’ve been together every since but because I know that this is where I met her my sister was just going through a domestic violence situation, and our goal was to try to help her get out of this situation. Her going to shelters is not helping her with the child so she’s trying to get help with moving also, she’s been to three different shelters with the kid so now worker stepped in and gave her numbers and I gave her a number just so happened. This number was one of the numbers that the workers gave her so she called she explained her whole situation and she was honest she’s going through a domestic violence situation she’s been in and out of shelters. She’s trying to go to a shelter where she can get a caseworker so she can help get off of the streets with her child and get housing they completely told her no then when she acts I’m in a domestic violence situation me going to shelter me coming there for two weeks is not going to help my situation. I need a letter saying that I’ve been in a shelter so she can get housing. The goal is to always help these women , not keep them in the shelter and to turn a woman away with the kid is beyond me because my white wife had the exact same story this is not cool at all. My heart is actually hurting for my sister somebody trying to build their self up one thing for sure. God is going to bless her with an amazing shelter that is going to help her, but this place I will never recommend ever again.
