I have worked at Green Acres for 4 years, I have worked at other facilities in the area but this one is the best! The facility is beautiful and clean. There are always fun and unique activities planned for residents and events that include their family too! The staff treats the residents (and their family) like family. The management team goes out of their way to make residents, their family, and staff happy. I love it here, come check it out! 😊

I have worked at Green Acres for about a year and a half as kitchen cook and kitchen team leader and I simply love it there! It is one of the best career moves I have ever made in my life. I have so much fun cooking and creating wonderful and healthy meals for the residents. Nothing makes me happier than to walk through the door at Green Acres and know that I am making a difference in someone else's life. I have had several family members who resided at different retirement homes across the state of Michigan and Green Acres in MT. Pleasant is by far the best I've ever been in. When entering Green Acres you will always be greeted with a warm smile and staff is always ready to help and assist as well. The staff is cheerful and outgoing to their residents and each other. The Dcws (direct care workers) are professional, nurturing, supportive and caring to their residents. The cooks prepare homemade and nutritious meals which the residents really enjoy! Fresh fruit, fresh made popcorn, homemade cookies, coffee, tea, and fresh fruit infused water are readily available at our snack bar for our Residents daily. Residents who live here enjoy activities each day and will occasionally go with staff to go shopping, eating out, or do field trips within the surrounding area of town. There are so many more amenities for the residents to enjoy that's it's hard to name all of them. Green Acres really is the place to be when it comes to your loved ones.

I have been an employee here at Green Acres for 2 years and it has been the best experience, I have learned so much. Having the chance to know so many different people and being able to care for the residents, while hearing how much they appreciate all that us staff do for them is amazing. Every month residents can look forward to the daily activities that our activities director puts together! Management is so understanding and will always do their best to fit in everyone’s needs, for both employees and residents!

I love working at Green Acres! I strive to do the best that I can for my residents and coworkers! I treat my residents as if they're my family members because I want them to have a wonderful experience and feel loved. Green Acres is also a wonderful place for them to live because they have their own space and lots of activities to join in on.

I once thought this place was beautiful. And I mistakenly thought the staff were nice people at first. I used to work for Green Acres. And Was wrongfully terminated because an Employee assaulted me, and I in turn defended myself. Apparently the higher ups Don't want Black women Employees there to defend themselves when attacked by other employees because the boss decides to leave for the day while I'm left for hours to fend for myself as a new employee at the time. I had to do ALL the work in the Kitchen for an entire shift by day in day out by Myself. The Direct Care Workers would get very mean and nasty with me if meals were Not ready on time. Even though I was the only person working the kitchen! The only good thing about this place is that The residents were Nice. But Not the staff! I'm also Sure its No accident seeing that there is little to No Diversity in residents and staff. Would NOT suggest this place.

This facility is a great place to work. I love my job and the residents are like family to most of us. Seeing them smile is my daily goal. We as employee's are encouraged by management to spend time with residents whether it be putting puzzles together or taking a walk with them or just sitting and talking. Greenacres in Mt.pleasant is the place to be for assisted living or memory care or for a career.

I am lucky enough to be part of the kitchen staff at the Mount Pleasant Green Acres.even though I don't personally spend much time with the residents myself the staff is outstanding! So many of them go above and beyond to make sure each residents needs are met. Its a great friendly atmosphere and I'm proud to be a part of the Green Acres team.
