I've been a member for just over 3 years now and I'm always learning something new about everything that GMAR has to offer members and affiliates. Between classes and events, they offer a multitude of opportunities for you to learn and meet other members of your association. The staff is all very friendly, helpful and I always feel welcome when I'm there. I'm hoping to be more active in the many events they will be hosting over the coming year so that I can be more engaged with the other members of my association. #GreaterRealtors

Worst board in existence. There is no customer service for salespeople, despite charging you over $500 per year. They will only let your broker communicate for you. There was no way opt out of renewing for the next year or cancelling your membership on your own. The receptionist ended up emailing my broker and telling them to write a letter to her, canceling my membership early, before the year was up. I asked to be refunded for the 6 weeks I had left to go in the year, got a snarky email back and then was ignored. Unbelievably bad customer service. They treat salespeople like dirt.

I could not be more proud of my local Realtor association, the Greater Metropolitan Association of Realtors. During the pandemic, they have continued their commitment to education by offering excellent Zoom options. Committee meetings and events have been continued in creative ways, utilizing Zoom. In fact, participation has dramatically increased as a result. For those members struggling with some financial hardships as a result of the pandemic shutdown last year, a program was created and funded to assist those members. They recently have hosted more programs on Fair Housing and diversity and inclusion in our lives and business models. In a time where there is a lot of negative news about national events, I think it's important to applaud those who make a positive impact!

As a Realtor® that is fairly new to the industry, I found the staff and offerings of GMAR to be very helpful! There are so many offerings for training and personal/professional development all in one place. Their work to protect local homeowners rights will go mostly unnoticed because they (and their members) have their ear to the ground and head things off before they are passed. As a Realtor® you have a choice, and I highly recommend choosing GMAR!
