It’s diabolical how goodwill has been over pricing Their products. I am a regular Goodwill shopper and it infuriates me to look at used shoes, falling apart crumbling literally at the heels on the inside mark for 14.99 things they have in their glass box that they think they’ve got something, marked it $80 and $120 when it’s trash! GOODWILL DO BETTER!! Y’all are literally donated everything for FREE! Money hungry

I went to the Goodwill on Fairmont and beltway 8 and underneath their cabinet they had a bunch of boxes of sports cards trading cards I bought a box that was $12.99 and when I open the box they had gone through all the cards in the box took all the good cards out left all the base cards in it and then marked it for $12.99 when it was donated to them how disgusting.

Almost 2 weeks ago … and several times since, including just yesterday (Sunday, 6/12/22) I was in the Tomball Goodwill Family Store. I’m a senior and I often shop there … especially for books. I love to read an with today’s inflation everyone, but particularly we seniors need to stretch our dollars as much as possible. Plus, with this triple digit heat, staying indoors,and mentally alert through reading, is important to seniors.

It was bad enough when you changed your corporate policy to eliminate Senior Discounts; but then you also increased your book prices by 200-300 percent … and more!

But, now I find that … at least in your Tomball Store, very little attention is paid to the book section.

Back to my visit of 2 weeks ago. I was fortunate to have visited the store as a corporate representative was touring the store with the manager … and was obviously offering suggestions for improving its operation. I apologized for interrupting there discussion as asked if I might ask them a question.. they were both most courteous and very professional, welcoming any questions or comment I might have.

So … I pointed to the 3 sets of bookshelves (18 shelves in total, of which only 9 shelves contained books, not a lot, but a few books) … and asked why new books hadn’t been added in well over a month. CRICKETS.

Then the manager advised that some had been added earlier that day … and that she would ensure more would be brought out from “out back”. The corporate rep thanked me for bringing it to their attention and said they always welcomed advice from their customers. They both went on to explain that they can only stock that which is delivered from their warehouse, as well as local donations. I said that it was hard to believe that in over a month they hadn’t received books from either source … and was again assured by the manager that much more attention would be paid to the book section in her store.

Now … back to my visit yesterday … again, about 2 weeks after my conversation with the store manager and your corporate representative. I took the attached pic yesterday and you will note that it shows bookshelves in basically the same condition as those in the second pic … which was taken 2 weeks ago.

It has now been well over 6 weeks since I last saw those shelves with even a reasonable nuMber of books being offered for sale, and I feel that I was simply being placated by the store manager during that conversation. She either forgot the conversation as soon as I left the store … or her store is not being adequately serviced by corporate.

I find it very difficult to envision any other explanation.

Prior to my retirement, I spent decades in marketing, customer service, and sales … and know from personal experience that over 90% of disgruntled customers never take the time to explain to sellers the reason(s) for their feeling of annoyance.

I’ve now done that. In point-of-fact, I’ve provided three separate and distinct reasons. I hope these will be used to improve the customer experience at your stores.

Unorganized, extremely crowded, dirty. Not a very good selection of hard goods and especially linens. Way too many very used, dirty clothing pieces.

Selling fake goods is a federal crime especially when there is no full disclosure made.
Goodwill should refund their customers in the exact way the customer paid for the item. If I paid using a debit card, the refund should go back to the debit card. Instead they will give you a store credit.

ZERO STARS. Corporate employees are incompetent, unresponsive, and unprofessional. They certainly are a disservice to the community. They claim they educate, train, etc. to help "individuals with barriers to employment to help them thrive." They should start with their own management to equip them to run an organization.

Went to Goodwill on a Sunday the cashier said we open at 9am close 9pm. That is crazy why open up at 9 before people can go to church and on Sunday open to 9pm. I going to stopping donated to goodwill they do not care about they employee. The bus has Sunday hours. Do you all care about that.I am going to call the new ch2 new and let them know about this.
