A wonderful asset to the community of Livingston County. I cannot express how much gratitude and appreciation I have for this incredible organization. They have so many amazing volunteers and individuals that are employed here who pour nothing but kindness, generosity, and love into everything they do. It’s easy to make a phone call and set an appointment for you to drive up and get what you need. The only thing they ask is that you bring your own bags for your items. Sometimes they have boxes in the corner, but they go super fast.
Lastly, every Wednesday they offer a service for you to just drive up, open your trunk, and the volunteers will load the items into your vehicle. They have two time slots available with no appointments necessary. There is one from 9am to 12pm or from 2pm to 5pm. The items range from various produce and also milk, eggs, and sometimes other things depending on a weekly basis.

Great help with food however they NEVER answer their phone during business hours and I ALWAYS have to drive up there to schedule my appointments

Gleaners is such a wonderful place! Setup an appointment time to go shopping and when you get there you'll be checked in and given a shopping cart and you go up and down the aisles, just like a traditional grocery store, choosing the items you want/need. At the end you come to the "cash register" where they will bag your groceries for you and send you on your way! It's such a wonderful and dignified environment. If you're struggling and need help feeding yourself or your family, I highly recommend giving Gleaners a try. If you're back on your feet and doing well, I highly recommend donating and giving back to Gleaners, as it is such an important part of this community!
