You know how it feels nearly impossible to say to your spouse “I was wrong” and “you were right”? Well, let me tell you that I had to on account of our Forno Piombo.

My husband is half Italian and was born and raised outside of New Haven, CT. He lamented over the quality of pizza in California and wanted to make his own. I scoffed at the price tag of the Forno Piombos and told him it was not worth it. He went behind my back and bought it anyway and, surprise, it was delivered on my birthday. I was not pleased, to say the least.

As it turns out, I WAS wrong, this has been (hands down) the best purchase we’ve made for our family. It makes AMAZING pizza (and meats, cookies, vegetables - anything you want to cook in it). But what’s more is the nostalgic ritual of building the fire and making pizza at home that has created the most wonderful memories with friends and family. It looks beautiful in our backyard and is our favorite thing about our home. We know our kids will one day look back and cherish the memories we made around the pizza oven.

Note - we had an expensive-ish little oven from Williams Sonoma before this and it’s so NOT the same. If you’re on the fence about this, go for it! It has been well worth the cost and it will last forever. We’ve had the oven since 2020. The Piombos follow up customer service is also wonderful. Thank you!

I purchased a Casa 110 Brick Oven from Forno Piombo in March 2024 and took delivery of the oven in July. The oven was shipped all the way to Maine from California without any issues or damage. The oven is absolutely beautiful both in structure and detail. The tile work on the outside of the oven is meticulous all the way around and especially at the top of the oven where the arch meets the tile. The herringbone pattern on the floor makes it easy to slide pans and pizza peels without getting hung up. The stainless steel around the base and granite shelf all tie in to make an aesthetically pleasing product. The functionality is just as amazing as it heats up quickly with minimal smoke. The heat retention is amazing as we were baking croissants the day after making pizzas without having to add any additional wood. I grilled pork loins on the tuscan grill, made focaccia in a pan, and cooked numerous pizzas directly on the oven floor. Of equal merit is the customer support I received from the owner Tony Piombo. He was always available via email, phone, or text to answer any of my questions. I recommend Forno Piombo without reservation. If you're considering an oven of this caliber there is nothing that I would buy other than a Forno Piombo oven.

After looking at all of the options for buying a pizza oven we bought a Forno Piombo oven. Without a doubt these ovens are best in class and a work of art. In addition to this, the Piombo family are wonderful people. They are very accessible and extremely helpful in every step of the process. We live in North Carolina and had no experience with pizza oven cooking. While on a trip to CA we asked Tony if we could get a demo and he arranged to cook in the oven with a chef. This was totally amazing and sold us on the oven. This also gave us confidence in how to build fires and manage the oven (pretty simple actually). The delivery of the oven and the way it was crated went perfectly. It is clear they have really thought this out and it was very easy for the install. Tony was available and helpful through the entire process. We have had the oven in for 6 months and have been told regularly by guests that this was the best pizza they have ever had. We just returned from a Napa vacation and Tony coordinated a cooking class for us with an wonderful chef and we cooked a Mediterranean meal including pita bread, lamb and veggies and it was amazing. The best part was that Guy and Lori Piombo, Tony’s parents, had the meal with us. This is a wonderful family and they are very proud of their work. It was enjoyable to chat with them and learn the story of how Forno Piombo started The ovens are gorgeous and a new way of life in the yard. Best decision we have made in years and The oven will be a big part of our social life year round. We would never consider another oven, knowing what we now know.

Tony and the crew are simply the best. Admittedly, I didn't do a ton of research before choosing a Forno Piombo. I let a friend guide my decision. Said friend owned 3 'starter' ovens before building his forever oven. He said you can buy a starter oven for $1000-$2000 and see if you use it or spend a little more and get a forever oven. That made sense in my mind. Tony has been super helpful with any questions I've had when choosing a color, a model and even helping figure out the specifics when building a space for the oven. Highly recommended.

The oven is so good. This isn’t my first oven either. Obviously the craftsmanship is near perfect, the oven is beautiful. But functionally it works better than any oven I have ever owned before. Starting fires is a breeze, the airflow is great. The ceiling is high enough to ensure a crispy bottom to pizza and a perfectly charred top. This is something that is usually difficult to get in wood fired ovens.

Aside from looks and functionality, the customer service offered at this company is hands down better than any other company I have ever dealt with. Every question was answered thoroughly and in a timely manner. I truly felt like I was in good hands (and I was).

Buying an oven like this is not cheap. It’s a big deal. From designing your space to figuring out the logistics of actually installing it, but the entire process felt manageable with Tony. I have no notes. Simply perfect.

Would recommend for anyone serious about getting into this sort of thing.

Forno Piombo is an exceptional pizza oven with top notch customer care. Guy & Tony are committed to every customer getting a life changing pizza oven with outstanding service. Our home was not an easy residence to drop our pizza oven into, however the guys were committed to finding a solution that would allow for our pizza oven to be in our preferred location. Since then, every e-mail and communication I have written to Tony has been answered in an expedient time frame. All visitors to our home marvel at how beautiful the pizza oven is and what a great gathering spot for social events?!? Tony has and continues to be very prompt when communicating with him. He has always answered my questions and been most helpful. He even sent a video clip on how to move the oven and stand with a pallet jack. Even post purchase he has continued to support my product with great service. As for the oven itself, my jaw hit the ground when I saw how amazing it looked in person. The learning curve was very short to churn out great tasting pizzas in about 60-90 seconds. It retains its heat an amazing amount of time. I have cooked hash browns in a skillet the next morning after a pizza bake. All in all it is a great oven with exceptional service. Thank you for Forno Piombo for such a great experience.

Our oven arrived and it is truly a work of art! The quality and workmanship that go into the ovens is amazing. Tony and his father have been INCREDIBLE with ideas, suggestions and helping us get our oven to our small beach jungle hotel in Panama (not an easy task!). Everything Tony has promised with regard to the oven has been spot on and I would not hesitate to recommend Forno Piombo to anyone! Thank you so much guys!
