Excellent selection of Smokey Bear merchandise! The Forest Service Volunteer Association is an asset not only to the San Bernardino National Forest, but to Idyllwild and surrounding mountain communities!
The ranger station front desk is more than helpful with anything you need!

The forest service volunteer association is based out of the Idyllwild ranger station and they have a store of merchandise for sale there. What a great group of people! They clean up our trails, assist people out in the wilderness, and help with community events in town. Kudos to them!

Tried to get a permit for firewood and they said there is no requirement. Come to find out you need driver lic or DMV photo ID to purchase the permit. Not to mention the its 2 chord min. when most locals can only carry 1/2 chord at a time. Locking up the local wells where people get water, selling off the lumber to on the only accessible road on santa rosa. Millions of dollars in cedar was cut down within the past 10 years. Now no more firewood close to the road for locals as the commercial machines wiped the easy stuff.
