F.A.P. is one of the most helpful and caring organizations. People like Maria Villes and Maria (Mary) and Chelsea who are the people I work with and they have been nothing but kind, helpful, and even have gone out of their way to help me with the process being as painless as possible. They don't judge me. They don't put me down constantly always stating stuff from the past to put me down. Instead they treat me like a person. They treat me with dignity. Furthermore, I have pet snakes. And they mean everything to me. And Maria is nice enough to let me bring my snakes. Cus they know and they understand what my snakes mean to me. And they let me have my snakes and they don't talk bad about them or talk down about them. They are nice to my pet snakes too. Which makes me happy cus my snakes are very precious to me. I appreciate the fact that they give out food so that way not just me but everyone else has something to eat in their home and it is really awesome the different types of support and help that is provided here. I wouldn't be where I am today if it wasn't for F.A.P.

My first housing specialist was technically proficient at her job. She was dour and had a look of distaste on her face. She spent alot of time telling me what she couldn't do. I ran into here while i was walking to the store one and she wouldn't acknowledge me. I know she has to protect my privacy but it was only us and it was private where we were. I opened my mouth to say hi and she wrinkled up her face and turned her head. Wow. Nothing was said or explained at our next meeting. Awkward.
When something started happening with my housing situation she tried to push me off to another agency. I called this other place and was told to stay with who I was with. I tried to talk to her about how I felt..she possibly didn't like me, I felt like she was only what she had to,...she lite t ally shouted me down and told m e she.would keep me as a client. She recently stopped returning my phone calls.
I eventually had to call the director of the agency who i was.never allowed to speak to. I needed to do an application for deposit assistance and time was running short. Another housing specialist picked up my case but nothing got accomplished with her. She said she made some.calls and.was gonna get me.some information I needed to contact my representative. The management company in renting from asked what happened to her and they were aware the agency "had abandoned me". Her words. She has since stopped calling me and I tbink.she was stonewalling me until something else happened. Im not sure but she didn't do the application for deposit assistance. She said that wouldn't be my "last resort". Hello? That was my first option.
I believe this agency failed me then rather than make it right abandoned me. Im homeless, there is no allocation for the help I need. Its cold, its the holidays and these people failed in their mission statement. I really think they blew and then made it worsen. If you have any.other option for help with HIV services go that way first. With me.they did more harm than good.n

No emotional support - No attention to
a client needs - Especially old ones - Just care about new people applying for and promising things.
All about the numbers!!!
Just let the old ones disappear!!!!!!!
