My experience at Felton was not good. There is a receptionist there that gossips about patients therapy sessions totally disregarding HIPAA(Federal Patient Privacy Laws). I wouldn't recommend therapy sessions there unless you don't mind being violated in that way.

While applying for thier Employment program, I dealt with the rude, embittered and uppity Doreen, along with her nasty supervisor, William Marshall. Nobody at the Felton Institutes' Employment program is employed, by anybody, not even the Institute. They are "trainees" who are volunteers looking for jobs themselves; they have not obtained paid positions for quite sometime. Is that a joke? Why have a program where the volunteers cant even get jobs? They also have high "expectations" for "acceptance " into their lame program with strict guidelines on having a very low income level along with being old in age, being on food stamps and such, as well as being updated on every vaccine there is. They even check on where you Iive to see if it's low income enough. At one point, the under-employed Marshall said to me, "now you must follow directions", as if I were his child. That was enough for me to be done. Grueling.

One case manager lost my housing choice voucher and when they appealed late for me, they wrote it in first person. I've been living in a despicable hotel, The Weller, where I gained a staker who I had to have physical fights with and years of severe harassment, for the full rental price (not subsidize while on SSI) for the past 9 years. So what did they do for me? You call it. One exception, one of the psychiatrists (Dr Brewer) was the best psychiatrist I've ever met as well as a few case managers that I didn't have were great.

Was kicked out of the program when I was having issues with agoraphobia. Was emailed saying I didn't need help anymore. Don't go here if you need help. Go to south of Market mental health.
