I was quite grateful for everything they did for me. I live in Canoga Park and saw a food pantry near me. I called, drove over there and one of their delightful staff registered me for food pick up. My refrigerator was empty and now it's full. I was so excited. I thanked them from the bottom of my heart again and again. I'm happy there is help for people in my situation that does not have any extra money.
I am truly Blessed 🙌

I see all theses great reviews about this place that they have diapers all sizes and wipes and clothes and food. Well to tell you the truth all those donations you'll give them don't go to any of the needy.... I'm a family of five and live in Hope of the Mission on Ventura Blvd. We went this morning, we got three bags of rotten outdated fruits and vegetables. They had no diapers or wipes, I have a two and half year old and they tries to give me adult diapers. We have a 15 year old and they gave us two shirts...it was so crazy when they say they help homeless families. This woman with red scarf that was very rude and kept trying to get us to leave.

I don't know how this place has such good reviews. They (food pantry) used to be excellent. It seems like they have new staff. Now it has gone down hill. It's worth waiting in the line at West Valley Food Pantry, rather than here. I won't be going back to the food pantry at this place again.

Experiencing homelessness is a harsh and unforgiving reality that no one should ever have to endure. It's a state of living that strips away the basic human rights and comforts most of us take for granted. Here is a review of being homeless, based on the experiences of many individuals who have faced this plight:

Being homeless is a daily struggle for survival. It means lacking a stable shelter, a place to call home, and often, a sense of security. It's a constant battle against the elements, hunger, and the harsh judgment of society.

Sleeping rough on the streets is not only physically uncomfortable but emotionally draining. The constant fear for your safety, exposure to the elements, and the uncertainty of where your next meal will come from can lead to a state of perpetual anxiety and stress.

The lack of access to basic sanitation facilities, clean clothing, and regular showers takes a toll on one's dignity and self-esteem. It's easy to feel invisible, marginalized, and discarded by society.

Inadequate healthcare and a higher risk of illness are the harsh realities of homelessness. Many homeless individuals struggle with chronic health conditions that go untreated, leading to a vicious cycle of worsening health.

The absence of stable employment makes escaping homelessness a Herculean task. Without an address, it's challenging to apply for jobs, and without access to clean clothes and grooming, interviews become even more daunting.

However, amidst this bleak review of homelessness, it's important to remember the resilience of those who endure it. Many homeless individuals display extraordinary strength and determination, relying on the support of shelters, charities, and compassionate individuals who offer a glimmer of hope.

In an ideal world, no one should ever have to leave such a review because homelessness should not exist. It's a systemic issue that requires compassionate and comprehensive solutions, including affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and programs to address the root causes of homelessness. Until then, we must acknowledge the challenges faced by those who are homeless and work tirelessly to create a world where such reviews are a thing of the past.

I used to volunteer here, they have a great cause in helping people. we need more places like this one. we also need to donate whatever we can. there are lots of people out here in dyer need for a simple loaf of bread. they also have a school on the side which seems to care about educating their children.
