Very rude call. I was simply trying to explain myself
to the WIC employee and got dismissed as if what I was about to say didn't matter. Very unprofessional.

I am posting for my best friend's parents. They raved about their great experience getting their first COVID vaccines. Marina returned their call and made their appointments. She was so warm and personable. When they arrived at the health department, everything was very organized. The staff were very friendly and delightful. They said that everyone was being treated with warmth, respect, and efficiency. The vaccine itself was expertly done. Even the dismissal after 15 minutes was given by a smiling employee. Thank you for making a potentially difficult experience a very positive one.

Had my appointment for my first vaccination shot today. If the front parking area is blocked off..it's okay, park in back, there is an entrance there as well. Have your ID and insurance card ready. I was warmly greeted. I was in and out in under 25 minutes. Once they scan your cards they ask a few questions then you proceed to the next room where you get the vaccination. The ladies were kind and very caring. I didn't feel a thing. The shot is given high on the arm...make sure to dress appropriately. Once you've been vaccinated they give you a card with the type of vaccine and your appointment for your 2nd dose. Don't lose this card. You will need it to get the 2nd dose. They give you a sticker that has the time you were vaccinated on it. Next you move to a 3rd area where you wait for 15 minutes. There was a friendly nurse watching over everyone. Once your 15 minute wait is over you are good to go. Huge thank you to the Etowah Health Department for making this a pleasant experience. Everyone was kind and the entire process was extremely efficient.

I waited two long hours to have my intake done and then another hour waiting to be seen by a nurse and ultimately waited another thirty minutes to be given my test results that were taken a month ago. I was never called or updated if my test results were in. Everything here is very backed up and the wait times are ridiculous. Understaffed and the staff that is here is irritated that they are understaffed. Unpleasant experience not worth the free tests they offer... It is unfortunate because many people that need the clinic rely on one income and taking upward of 4 hours for an appointment doesnt look good at a job.

I went to the health department for my first covid vaccine. They were well organized and I zipped right through. The only wait was after when they keep you a certain amount of time tk make sure you don't have a reaction. Parking was easy. A very good experience.

So I had a wic appointment last month. Told me I had to bring my infant with me to the appointment, but I had all my paperwork with me for my 1st appointment. But they claimed i had to reschedule. So for my 2nd wic appointment i had brung my baby with me, but forgot all my paperwork. She claimed I needed my paper work! So then I had to reschedule again for a third time! This time I went had my baby and all my paperwork. Turns out I waited a long hour to be called and say I dont need my paperwork nor my baby. Then why the hell you say I needed both to begin with. This place is horrible! Dont come here for a wic appointment unless you want to be waiting in the waiting room for a long hour while holding your crying baby. It'll stress you out, I promise.

What a breath of fresh air. Went in and out for vaccine and everyone had such a positive attitude. The process was flawless. This is a perfect example of how to run a business. Don’t know exactly who is in charge but they have a group of people that deserve a lot of recognition. First time since we moved to Alabama that I was proud to live here just knowing how people can work with the public and accomplish the job with a great attitude. Thank you. Jim price. Rainbow city
