If you are a man, woman, or, child who is or has been abused the whole staff is so, wonderful. DVSAC has saved and, changed my life. I was so low and, lost when I found them I could not even look people in the face. My self esteem was gone, I was embarrassed, I was beaten down both physically and mentally and, I didn't trust anyone. They paired me up with the most amazing counselor she helped me breath and, saved my life with no, Judgement. She worked with me for many months on a long term case no matter what my moods were she hung in there with me. In saving my life and, helping me heal she saved my daughter and grand daughter's life also. I see her when I go into visit. She probably doesn't even know what she gave to me and my family. Now, I have the tools to help my girls and, never be better down again. Thank You DVSAC God Bless!

I called this place many time when my then boyfriend would take my phone and beat me bloody everyday I live in grass valley at the time. I was scared to all every day day the person was going to kill me. Dvsac would not send a taxi to help me escape. When I did escape they sent a taxi after I had payed my own way to get there covered in bruises on a number of occasions only to be told they had no resources to help. They even made me pay for my own cab to go back to my abusers home when I had a broken nose. The also selectively give therapy. I was told I would receive 6 sessions but the Thea priest gave me one session and then refused to response to schudule more. When I ask the head person there Nancy Ramsey why this was ? And if I could see the paper work which shows how there grant money is suppose to be being used she threaten to call the police because I was 'being too loud'.
