Like everyone in my family, my brother thought he was doing a good deed when he signed a donor card and applied that pink sticker to his California driver's license. The unprofessional and heartless demeanor of Donate Life California staff, especially the giggly gal on the phone who found the haphazard treatment of my brother's remains rather humorous, the irresponsible record keeping, and the unorganized staff with poor communication skills left our family further traumatized by Donate Life California.
After giving the situation quite some thought afterward to collect our thoughts and reflect on the situation in a rational manner, every member of our family has chosen to remove themselves from the donor registry. Not one of us can imagine inflicting such a nightmare on our loved ones to revisit.

I hate how difficult it is to remove myself from the registry. I believe it is intentional. I registered through dmv, so the site said they'd need to verify my identity through 3rd party site, which redirected me to a blank white page, and after going backwards in my browser to figure out why it was doing that, it no longer let me attempt to log in or navigate to the page to verify my identity because it says i need to still verify my identity. Redundant, ineffective, and extremely annoying especially when it come to me wanting to have control over my own organs.

I am so frustrated. I have tried every way possible to contact them & remove myself from the list per my doctors orders, because of my illness. Now, people may die, because they make it impossible to be removed from the list !!!!!!!!

My daughter would like to make it financial donation but no one is answering their phone and there are no business hours listed to make a donation
