This is the best, most truthful, loyal, working grocery store around the peninsula. That’s the whole truth, nothing but the truth, and I’m sticking to it. Because it’s true. No offense to my friends across the bow. Because some of you I actually love and respect. Honestly. But a small few… I don’t really know you that well, truthfully. You’re mostly a facade. 🤠

Its a great little store with all kinds of name brand foods, seasonal products, household stuff, toiletries, medical supplies , stationary, toys ect.... and everything is super cheap !

My 1 star is a result of the store not having the staff they need to stock the shelves. It is by no means directed at the friendly staff you allow to struggle in a day to day basis!

This is directly to Corporate Executives: Shame on you for not executing a better plan and giving this store the attention it deserves! It is a seasonal environment here in Chester, CA. We sit 30 miles outside of Lassen Volcanic National Park. You cater to locals during the winter and do it well. However your mindset has got to preplan for the extra thousands upon thousands of visitors and campers that gravitate here starting at snows thaw in April.
For a corporation that has greatly profited all over California by filling needs to smaller towns and giving alternative good pricing on food etc you are dropping the ball here.

Your shelves are empty the carts aren't being pushed as product sits with no hands on deck to shelve and face.

I will be sending direct complaints to the corporate level because I hold you and not the management or associates of this store responsible. This little store in Chester needs as much attention as your larger well oiled money makers. Again SHAME ON YOU DG CORPORATE FOR ALLOWING YOUR TEAM TO STRUGGLE WITH THE BASICS!

I find that the chester Dg has abit more items than the one in westwood, but,, I would have to say westwood is abit more cleaner. Don't get me wrong, there both good stores that'll most likely have what your looking for.

I love all the employees outgoing helpful, sorry to see Stephanie leave she was always so wonderful!

However I do feel that corporate needs to give them better labor hour cost.
Not to have customers waiting 13 deep.
Because the employees are so funny loving and great with the customers, nobody really gets mad comments are heard.

It's Dollar General. Cheap goods, household, foods, paper goods, plastic things, drug store items. This location is a large store, clean, and with helpful, cheerful employees. I'd rather go here than any other locations in my area. Good, off-street parking, easy in and out from the highway.
