This was my first time coming here and I really enjoyed it. It’s small and intimate. The staff is welcoming and getting around is easy.

Very family oriented and a great place to learn as a beginner. It wasn’t packed on a Saturday which I was very surprised. Lift lines weren’t long at all. Not many people on the slopes.

Only downside is the parking. Get there early ! There’s a preferred parking spot that you have to pay for and then general parking which is free. But you’ll be walking for a little until you get to the resort.

I will definitely be coming back! I had a great time

The resort has maintained and improved its quality over the years. The two cafés are good, but can use some more natural and vegetarian menu options.

Live music at lunchtime was a delight. The staff were friendly. The slopes were in good condition. The lessons, check-in and rental processes went smoothly.

We started renting equipment 6 years ago and now we have seasons passes! We feel like family when we are here and we always go home tired. Staff is great! Mountain layout helps give everyone enough space. Lodges are small, which I like, so don't come up unless you are friendly and ready to be on the slopes.

Great family friendly slopes and a great lessons for 9-15 year olds. Goods instructors. Get there around 7:30am to get a spot with your own fire place and chairs.

It is one of the closest from Bay area and most good ski resorts. I learned basic ski here. It's not crowded and less wait time at lifts

I love this place! Awesome runs, never have to wait in a long line and the mountain is always nicely groomed! The staff is super nice!

Fun resort with very patient staff and slopes that accommodate all skill levels. Absolutely great for families with young kids who are learning and more advanced skiers or snowboarders who want steeper slopes.

Feedback on Snowboarding Lesson Experience
Dear Dodge Ridge Resort Management,
I am writing to share my disappointing experience with the snowboarding school at your resort, specifically with an instructor named Mia. My children attended their first-ever snowboarding lesson, and unfortunately, their experience was nothing short of traumatic.
Upon picking them up, they were visibly upset and crying. They shared that Mia had been harsh with them and lacked the patience and encouragement that young learners need. As a parent, it was incredibly upsetting to hear that my children were not only unhappy but also felt scolded. Given their age and the nature of their lesson, I expected a supportive, positive environment that fostered excitement and confidence.
To make matters worse, I happened to run into Mia at the lodge later that day, where I overheard her yelling at her father, saying that she hated teaching little kids. When I approached her and expressed my concern, she continued to assert that my children did not listen. It was evident she had no rapport or connection with them, and this lack of empathy further heightened my frustration.
I understand that instructors can sometimes face challenges, and I do not wish to place blame unfairly. However, I was disheartened to learn from Mia herself that she had been overworked and had asked her supervisor to teach older children instead. This raises concerns about how the lesson was staffed and whether the instructor was adequately prepared for the needs of younger learners.
I did speak with Gary at the resort, who was polite and understanding, and he offered a makeup class, which I appreciated. However, as a parent, I cannot in good conscience recommend your resort for lessons after this experience. I sincerely hope that this feedback is taken into account and that future lessons are better tailored to ensure a positive and encouraging environment for all children.
I do hope our next experience with Dodge Ridge is much more positive, as I believe in the potential of your resort and its staff.
