On two different occasions I had called them and they made excuses that they didn't have enough staff or was unable to take my case. The first thing they did was ask me "what my pronouns were." I said I don't play that game. They didn't help my friend who had an autistic son. They're useless.

So for the first time I ended up needing to file a grievance with the state in regards to a mental health provider. Everything started good. Nami recommended that I call here to do so. The office staff here scheduled an appointment and then last Thursday I had my intake appointment. Here's where things go from good to horrible. The person who took my intake, Mr.Nadeau, showed a high level of disrespect towards me just for even attempting to file. Based on other reviews here, this isn't the first time. As we're doing the intake, you can tell that he clearly doesn't want to do it. Constantly sighing and being easily irritated with everything I have to say. Again, this was the first time I've ever had to file a grievance, so I assumed this is just how it was with everyone especially with having to, in the past, deal with dhhs. Today I got a letter which states this: "unfortunately, due to drms limited resources,we are unable to act on your request for services." Gee, I wonder why. You know, I understand that there's no actual money to be made on most grievances, however: how is it that there's no money for disability rights services yet there's literally billions of dollars to take over the state power grid? Again, this seems very strange to me. Maybe it'll seem strange to others as well too.

We had a wonderful advocate that is no longer with the agency. I doubt we would ever be that blessed again and I have heard terrible stories from other disabled persons regarding this agency. Our advocate Pat was amazing and we are grateful for his help.

People can paper their walls with denial slips. They lie and say one thing then send a letter before hand a denial. Want real help hire a real attorney. They used the consent decree to get jobs that's it. A disabled person was told could have rats in their walls windows all broke out. Sad excuse for agency.. Like someone else said don't waste your time.

They discriminate against individuals with disabilities especially ones with head injuries and have a global agenda in making the disabled feel powerless and even more discriminated. I had tried talking to their council in 2014 and they denied me a case while the problems continued currently. I'm a Disabled Native American of Veterans.

This organization sucks, plain and simple. Mr. Madeau you are an embarrassment to Disability Rights. Please resign from your position immediately, you’re useless. This is my personal opinion.
