We applied for the PPL through one of the big-name banks and found out after waiting for weeks that we were denied. We thought all was lost but then our SBA contact introduced us to Dime Community Bank. I e-mailed, LiLi from Dime, (The BEST even though we never met in-person) she replied to me within hours and help us step by step with the application process. Within a week we received notification we were approved for the PPL.
When the pandemic struck, we were not sure how we would survive but to our relief the Dime Bank came to our aid. We are also so grateful to be a recipient of Dime’s Community Chest Grant. In the most difficult times, Dime was our lifeline for our small business. When BIG banks only cared about BIG companies, Dime Community Bank was here us, a small local business. The Dime is phenomenal. Their responsiveness during this crisis: providing outstanding access to everyone in the NYC community on the PPP process, advancing our PPP application at top speed so that we could be included in the first batch of recipients EVEN THOUGH WE WEREN'T AN EXISTING CUSTOMER, responding to our every query with speed and personal emails. I have a business mortgage loan and a equity loan with Dime I have been a long time customer. Dime customer service has to be the worse they never pick up the phone or reply back. Recently I was charged an over payment of 650.00 on my monthly equity loan payment and was never sent a letter explaining why. After several calls I found out was computer error. As of today i have tried numerous times to reach out to several different people with no help in getting my refund back. No one knows who’s coming or going and never at the desk picking up phone. If I could give 0 stars I would just bad customer service

Dime was there for my small business during the current economic and medical crisis. They set up an electronic portal to help process our PPP loan and followed up with us, even on Sunday evening, to insure our papers were ready to process as soon as funds became available. When we first started out we went to several big name banks to apply for an sba loan and got nothing. We were so luck to have found Dime Community Bank! They were on board with our vision and were able to get us the financing we needed. When the Covid-19 pandemic struck we weren’t sure how or if we would survive but to our relief the Dime Bank came to our aid by helping us process our PPP Loan.
