I was impressed with my first visit to Desert Springs Healthcare. The facility is clean, and the staff was friendly and responsive. The visitor security system is easy and made me feel that my loved one is safe. Nursing homes are never easy to manage and they always seem to get a bad rap. I’ll be visiting a lot and I’m looking forward to good interactions with the staff and residents.

Went to visit a friend and as I walked in one of the girls helped me sign in using the kiosk. A visitors pass was printed given to me. As I walked towards my friend’s room the place is so clean and the staff attend to their patients very quickly. They greet their patients as they walk by. Very nice place for the elderly.

Everyone from the front door, front desk, hallway, patio and PT room were cheerful and friendly, eager to assist me as a visitor.
The facility was busy, and I found it easy to get around.
Clean and tidy as well.

My friend has been at this place for about 6 months and I visit a couple times a week. The staff do a difficult job really well and I am grateful for the care they selflessly provide.

It would help the patients and caregivers to have a liaison or advocate in the mix to help more with accessing government and volunteer services.

No facility in the medical field is perfect. All have the same goal to be the best to serve and meet the needs of patients. I enjoy this facility because growth is key. To be a nurse, there’s always room to improve And challenges that we face. One thing I like about the facility is that theres no giving up, the nurses find a resolution as a team.

The staff here is absolutely fantastic. They are adequately staffed for attentive care of their residents. My grandma arrived via medical transport directly from the hospital on Christmas Day. A nurse in festive dress walked out to greet her. They had a room clean and ready for her to lay down immediately after she was weighed. Then the CNA brought in a Christmas gift for her with personal care items and a teddy bear that brought a smile to my grandma’s face. The RN assigned to her ( also festively dressed) was in to meet her and apologized for not greeting her on arrival. She went through the admission paperwork meticulously then showed her how to use the TV. My mom asked the she was working all day on Christmas she explained that since her children are all grown and away from the home with their families, she swapped her day off to work with a coworker who had small children. The RN explained to my grandma that she was her Christmas gift this year. This was my abuela’s second time in this facility and she actually asked to come to this SNF specifically because of the care she received the last time she was here. We couldn’t ask for a more loving place for her to stay while she regains her strength before coming home!

My friend is getting all the care he needs. The staff is friendly and helpful. He is kept clean along with his clothes, linens and room. He is enjoying the food.
