I am very familiar with this company as they are doing a great job and giving people with mental health disabilities the availability to earn a living and achieve a sense of self-worth. It is horrible, however, that the employees Who oversee them especially the African-American lead staff who works at my complex Premier Apartments, speak to these workers as if they are children she belittles them And speaks to them Sometimes in a rude childlike manner in addition she takes up two parking spaces with her van number 32 in front of our units we're only tenants are supposed to park she Parks so far away from the pole that her van is over the white line for the other car to park comfortably. see pictures in closed

DH use to have great values and provided customers with good service. Ever since management changed it has gone downhill. Management is very unprofessional, they don’t own up to their responsibilities or mistakes. Management is constantly talking down to staff. emails go unanswered, everything gets brushed under the rug and nothing gets resolved. If you’re looking for a landscaper that doesn’t know how to run a positive team, sleeps in his van all day. This is the organization for you. The only good thing about this program are the consumers.

I enjoy working with you all each and every year. All of the counselors and trainers was good to me. And I did enjoy the snow flake ball every Christmas time. I wish that I was queen for the snow flake ball
But I was still happy working with you all. I give 7 stars. Thanks for everything.

My daughter works there. Her experience there started out well but over time it proved to be a "high school drama" type of environment where consumers work there simply to "hook up" w/other consumers and enjoy gossip and bullying and many of the trainers are just as bad as the consumers and my daughters counselor pretends to care but overall nothing gets done when you present a problem. My daughters attitude has changed drastically as well. She's just as rude as the other consumers who work there.

Great place for helping the handicap people. Gives them the feeling of being in the real world and productive. I can see pride in my nephew as he goes to work everyday. Thanks Desert Haven for making him feel alive and independent.

It used to be a good place for people with disabilities. It seems like alot of the staff lies to keep the consumers at low pay. I went through their program for about a month and I don't have issues with my disability in the workplace and they paid me lower than some of the lower functioning consumers. Also They don't pay from the time you get there. I don't believe their practices are ethical but I guess it's good kids with disabilities can learn. They do work you like slaves when it comes down to it though, Not a fun place to be.

They are wonderful with there employees my Lil sister who's down syndrome has been working there for over 15 years she loves it.
