Please note that this hatchery has been closed to the public for 3 years. Do not plan to visit. There are some beautiful walking trails and a Totem Museum nearby though that are worth visiting though.

Even though it's closed to the public I saw a staff member taking care of the fish!

The fish must love it there because they come back to make other fish ❤️

I was able to reach them after a few tries and the hatchery is still continuing its great work but is no longer open to the public.

A must see while in Ketchikan. We walked here from Creek St and a staff member was working the tanks but was happy to answer any questions asked by anybody. He was very informative and my wife and I learned so much about salmon. At the creek there is an outflow from the hatchery and so many salmon were trying to get in they were just jumping into the gate but it was a site to see.
