I called Crossroad's Community Outreach yesterday on behalf of someone else, needing help, resources or simply, advice. I was met with condescension and a lack of willingness to listen. Without knowing about my situation, only what I briefly left in a voicemail, the woman I spoke to talked to me with a disrespectful tone and only told me what I had done wrong and that I needed to stop. I was appalled that someone who has no clue who I am, or anything about my situation, would give me such rude "advice" before even getting the reason of why I was calling. Unfortunately, the phone call ended and I only felt worse about the circumstances. Needless to say, the service I received was disappointing and I hope that no one else reaching out to this organization will receive the same treatment as me.
