My wife and I were active members of this congregation decades ago in the old church in old Corona before we made the move to the new sanctuary on a portion of the land the church bought decades age and then later to the current very large Sanctuary. It’s always been a solid church and we have enjoyed every pastor, especially Pastor Barry and his wife Kay. The only problem we ever had with the current churches terrible acoustics making the sound very very loud and garbled. This came about due to the project management / contractor / subcontractor who mistakenly painted over all of the Sanctuary’s expensive sound absorbent panels - a bad mistake that is very costly to correct. This issue makes music there painfully load, so much that the handout foam earplugs!
This was a sad thing as it is a very good church that has always been willing to offer truly great music and Christian Theater productions. We had to stop attending due me having serious hearing lose from my past rock & roll drums and competition match pistol shooting, getting hammered by loud sound on Sunday. I do recommend this church for all, they have good biblical teaching, good classes and lots of great programs for the Disabled - that should tell you all you need to know about a good church. I’m hoping perhaps they have a LOOOT of money (yes even large churches are not rich). I know they overbuilt and had some economic shortfalls but Pastor Chuck is solid and has things well in hand. Forget about all the whining about Cult!! Wouldn’t help the poor!! Etc, etc! It is a church full of kind hearted generous people who give enormously to their community. They are a Cult! Hah, what a laugh! Some folks will make up the craziest shit because they think someone gave them a funny looks. Go check it out, it is a mainstream bible believing Christian Church.

Cult! Stay away from this place! People who attend this building swear they are prefect Christians. God can see through your blasphemy. You think that by knowing the Bible verse makes you the perfect person. You must go here to make you feel better of the kind of person you are on a daily basis.

Update….We’ve been trying to go to this place because it’s so convenient to where we live and the service times are as well but I just can’t. This place is as close to blasphemy as I have ever seen. I thought it was pretty weird when I saw a church charge for people to go to their Christmas events. Was shocked when I pulled up to the trunk and treat and they were charging a fee to participate. What was crazy was part of the fee was actually using the church to show Wonka. They had little snippets of a recorded person dropping scripture in between scenes of the movie. The thought that they are using the temple as a paid auditorium is just appalling. Thats like legit blasphemy. I’ve disliked a lot of things I’ve experienced at this church but charging people you take a tithe from for something like that is just disgusting. I mean typically churches do that thing for free so that people will come and have a chance to hear the good word. This place is not about helping the community and it’s not about spreading the good news of salvation. I’m not just disappointed. I’m disgusted.

My original review:
Close to our house so will continue to try and go. Worship music is good. Nice campus with cool coffee shop that I go to on the reg even when I’m not going to church that day. I’ve been there maybe half a dozen times and have heard two different pastors sermons but not even if they are the main pastor or not. It seems like every sermon drags on and on and on. It’s like they purposely are stretching it out in order to hit a required length. Almost like they were assigned to make the sermon an hour. Both guys literally will say the same thing like 5 times in a row very slowly. It’s noticeably odd. The last sermon I heard was about peace that comes from Christ vs worldly peace. The first 30 minutes was sound biblical teaching and was pretty good honestly. Then it was twisted into talking about a different kind of peace all together and was about how the pastors expectations of Christian’s is to keep peace. It wasn’t about loving your neighbor or anything. It was if the guy just looked up the word peace in the Bible, took it from two different places that weren’t referencing the same subject and he made it all into one incongruent testimony. It was also clear the sermon twisted from something good and biblical into the pastors agenda which ended in him basically scolding the congregation for anyone saying bad things about Joe Biden. I’m not sure if the guy is a lib or what but it doesn’t say anywhere in the Bible that we can’t be critical of what goes on in the countries politics. I’m also pretty sure people watching Sodom and Gomorrah or the crucifixion expressed dissatisfaction with world leaders at the time. It literally felt like blasphemy to me to mold his scolding into a sermon about the peace that only comes from God. It was the twisting of scripture to push the pastors agenda which is frankly what cults do. It’s also a little weird that the guy scolded the congregation on an anti Joe Biden bumper sticker but didn’t have any reference to God saving Trump from a bullet or libs who outwardly expressed that they wish it would have got him. All in all I think the guy ruined the real message and turned it into his personal agenda. Came off as very smug. I’ll try again I’m sure cuz it’s the easiest option for my family to consistently go somewhere. I’ve come to the understanding that half of what you hear in church today isn’t about grace and the gospel rather it’s about personal agendas and building church revenue so you kinda just got to take the good with the bad. Unfortunately it’s starting to look like the bad is starting to outweigh the good at this place.

I also came here in a trying time in my life and was pushed to volunteer when I wasn't in good health. They also asked for money for Israel, which gets so much of US's money already while there is a a waitlist for their food program. I have deep ties to this church, I went to preschool here, I grew up here. But sadly this place just gives anyone I've brought there major anxiety and I stopped trying to make it work. It's just a negative experience.

In my darkest hour I headed to one of many of the Lord's houses. I came here because someone I hold dear in my heart told me that if I ever needed anything, to come here to ask the Lord for guidance. I needed a place to sleep for the night. I came to speak to God at his own house to see if I may be let in. I felt at ease..until I was told to leave. Never in my life did I ever expect to be turned down by God...only false prophets with no heart would do such a thing. I will never come back to this place. I will seek the truth and find God elsewhere because here, he is not. May God be with you all.
