Too much paperwork. Once I received my food it went well. The cheesecake I chose had mold on it. Otherwise it went well.

While we appreciate the generosity and help that Community Sharing gave us, some members of the staff made inappropriate comments to my wife regarding their opinions of our lifestyle, which is extremely modest by the way. Places like this seem to think they can act as judge and jury for very personal matters in peoples lives. The director Kelly, made highly inappropiate comments regarding something that happened to our son and left my wife in tears for days. They should remember that if people come sit, wait in line and ask for help, they probably need it, regardless of the staffs personal opinions.

This place has a serious ethics problem. The director, Kelly uses her position to make grossly inappropriate remarks about people's personal lives. My son was molested in Highland Hills Trailer Park and we tried to tell her what happened and that were in a bad situation because of it and she said, "I mean, did he enjoy it?", It's disgusting. She left me additionally traumatized and disturbed. She makes you feel guilty and shamed for needing help if you are not below the poverty level. One of the older ladies who answers the phones had the audacity to say to me when I told her we were usually ok financially but didn't have enough food that month, "well if you make so much money, why don't you have food." These women are arrogant and treat people with disrespect and condescension on a regular basis. Kelly has no business dealing with people who are going through trauma and some of the ladies who answer the phone are extremely unprofessional and insensitive. Horrible experience dealing with them.

I'm glad to see others we're treated kindly here. I am legally disabled as is my husband and have had to ask for help from here a couple of times. It was the most humiliating and degrading experience. Very invasive and personal questions were asked about our disabilities. When I answered the person interviewing me kept telling me how i could do things better or differently. I didn't say much how could I? I was asking for help and Isupposed eating crow was part of the cost. At one point the fact I had an associates and wasn't working was called into question. This broke my heart i was a hs dropout I was so proud of going back to school, now I was being mocked for being poor, for beig disabled and for having gone back to school of all things. When the woman saw me tearing up she said something about not having time to deal with this and there were other pepole waiting for her help. I stayed because we truly needed the help regardless of what I had to go through to get it. She came back gave me the go ahead and reminded me that they weren't there to pay my way or something to that effect. I sat in my car thinking thoughts no one should walk out of a charity thinking. I truly felt like I didn't deserve help, that being disabled was my fault, that I was a despicable human being.
