Community Beyond Violence, formally known as DVSAC, was a safe haven for me. I had the crap beat out of me, scars to prove it, my kids hurt, harassed and terrorized. I came to this organization to help and they did, all great and dandy. But, years later their legal team is supporting my abuser and going to bat for him in court after years of my abuser using the court system to harass me, nothing to do with seeing his children as he has had ample opportunity. I am absolutely appalled and will not keep quiet about this. Just remember folks, community beyond violence will help your abusers to continue to torment you. Disgusting and deplorable.

This is the kind of place that I didn’t know was available then I needed them and I am SO grateful this haven exists. I was welcomed during the scariest time of my life with open arms. These woman supported me every step of the way. From filling out paper work, arranging a meeting with an attorney, diapers, hotel nights, food they coordinated between different organizations to help with anything I asked. These woman and an entire community have your back. I know exactly where I’ll be donating my money for the foreseeable future. Thank you for all you do CBB ❤️
