From the first time I reached out for help with mom, I knew we had made the right choice! Paula was so informative and helpful during the intake and we adore mom’s caregiver.

I had contacted an agency in the town in which my mom lives and they had very poor communication, didn’t follow up, it was frustrating but Comfort Keepers came to the rescue.

We contracted with Damariscotta Comfort Keepers for several years of services. Their CNA staff was excellent. They matched us with one perfect person who was not only exceptional at her craft, as a caregiver, but had the right personality traits as well. We provided a car for transportation and my wife, and the caregiver had the absolute perfect relationship. Our caregiver, attended to all of Pat's medical, bathing exercise, shopping, arts and crafts, dressing, meals, etc. In addition to the CNA workers, we also had an excellent relationship with the administrator and the staff. An excellent team to work with that you could depend on.

When my mom turned 97 at the end of 2021, her amazing ability to remain healthy and strong deteriorated. Over the following year she became increasingly weak, and in the final months of 2022, her dementia became more assertive. But until the final three months of her life, she remained at home, thanks to the warm-hearted, professional carers of Comfort Keepers of Damariscotta. My mother's body and mental needs were met, as well as the maintenance of the cleanliness of her abode. I lived 150 miles from her but I never felt anxious about her care.

This company doesn’t just use the word Comfort in their name, this is a company dedicated to making loved ones comfortable with their circumstances, comfortable in their own skin and feeling Safe again in their life.
