Citrus Heights Terrace failed to inform me or call an ambulance for my mom's fall at their facility in which she fractured her hip for 10 to 12 hours! (Time range due to conflicting stories about what time in the morning she fell.) Most of the caregivers are very nice but I don't think the staff are well trained. There were numerous problems while my mother was a resident there, including finding my mom in soiled Depends when I would arrive to visit, seeing other residents in wet pants, multiple residents, including my mom, having constant skin problems, personal items being lost including a lot of her clothes, residents' hygiene not being taken care of, one of my mom's medications being discontinued because they had trouble administering it (not a valid reason to discontinue someone's Rx!), the list goes on and on! It goes deeper than the Admin, I tried to get the Director, Robert Godfrey, involved but he didn't care to take any action. I also left a message for the owner of CiminoCare after my mom's fall in which she didn't receive proper attention, but he never even returned my call. When we moved her out we found that her mattress had an enormous urine stain on it. (It had a waterproof mattress cover when we took it in but that disappeared.) How sad to know that my mom was laying in her own urine for who knows how long. I would not put a loved one there ever again.

My father was a resident of Citrus Heights Terrace and I highly recommend their care home. My father had a terrible experience in another care home as well as a not much better experience in a board and care before arriving to Citrus Heights Terrace. There was a noticeable difference in him once he got to CH Terrace. He was happy and never once complained about various things like he did at his prior places. He was treated as if he was a family member and so were we. The care home is well kept and clean. All the employees were very caring and patient. Tina runs a great care home. I just wish we had found them sooner.

From my experience this place reminds me of being at Home Depot when trying to find a staff member there is no one around. When staff was around there was a lack of compassion or concern for the resident. Mortified with newfound placed rules and regulations with visitations when concerns brought to management. Highly recommend staying clear of this facility. Might cost a little more but the savings in emotional stress and aggravation will be well worth it. If I could give zero stars I would. Witnessed harsh treatment of particular residents that seemed to be an easy target for their aggressions to be taken on.

Making the decision to move my mother into the next level of care was in itself initially difficult. But the help that both my mother and I have received from Director Tina and her staff have made me sure that I made the right decision. My mother has been in Assisted Living for over 8 years now but during the Covid crisis her physical and mental capabilities greatly declined. Being isolated in her room for a year, albeit for her own safety took a toll. A subsequent health crisis meant that I could finally see her in person when she went into the hospital and with that came the realization that she had changed. It was tough to accept but my mother was now operating at the level where she needed more assistance and that Memory Care was the best next option. So here is what I have observed since my mother moved in to Citrus Heights Terrace. Note: There is always resistance to change, understandably. It took a few weeks at the start for her to adjust to her new surroundings. But the transition has since been successful. While she felt comfortable and safe in her prior care home, she is now expressing happiness with her new residence. Both her room and bathroom are pleasant with lots of light. She says the food from her last place was A-ok but she likes the food at Citrus Heights Terrace more. She is adjusting well and the staff provide her with a lot of patience and kindness. The great thing for my mother is that she can still have some pleasure and engagement with life. She is in a good environment which shows because now she is smiling and opening up more. That is the way I would like her to spend the last of her days. Thank you to Tina and her staff. I have experience with a few facilities in the Sacramento area. This is definitely at the top of my list.

Moving a parent into a memory care facility is stressful and emotionally trying to say the least. Tina and her staff are awesome! They made the move in process very easy and have been so supportive of the family. But more importantly, they have taken such good care of our dad...especially during this past year with COVID. We are very grateful to have him cared for by such kind and professional staff.

I needed to find a place for my Mother that was close and easy for my siblings and I to visit. I developed a great rapport with the director "Tina" while waiting for an opening, when one became available Tina was very helpful in securing a place, Mom's been there 6 months now and there have been no problems, my mom is happy ,clean and her needs are being met. My family is very satisfied with her care.

Citrus Heights Terrace is a life saver for us. Its staff and administrator Tina really know what they are doing. We do understand that caregiving is no easy task, especially working in a memory care environment, where the residents' behaviors are often times difficult to deal with. Due to the nature of this high tolerance work environment, all the staff members and Tina endue tremendous stress. A high employee turn over rate showcases the demands and requirements on the people who work there. Despite some ex-employees' "venting" on the website, please accept our gratitude for all the loving care and help you provide.
