Goin in today but from the sounds of it it really didn't get any better and the people over the phone were incredibly rude and said the low income program never existed. Uhhhh... what? Idk what their malfunction is but they are absolutely whacko. I don't know what's the bigger disappointment. This place or allegheny link. And I'm not calling them back anytime soon.

It's surely better than the streets, but the place is a dump, & it's getting worse. It's that way bc managers & operators want it that way. They recently removed these rooms' one amenity & tool in the battle for hygiene - the individual room sinks, & won't even provide soap & towels in the toilets.

Crazy people live here roach and bed bugs the staff really do not care about you all they care about is their paycheck people come here to die I have been living here for 3 years if you don't have no place to go come here it beat being on the street maybe one day they will improve but it really bad here people breaking into your room inside job I called the police and the police said it was inside job no one broke in they came in with a key the employee by food stamp from the people that live here. I would not going to put up with someone coming into my room so I called the mayor and I called channel 2 News they put camera on the floors because I have to call the mayor that's why camera on the floors now. I was there back in 2015 before I left for college. If you want to know about Wood Street Commons sleeping rooms and living space, look at the rest of the comments. Living here sucked, but career link was great. They really helped me get back to work, but get there early or at the right time for a computer and don't fool around. A determined attitude goes a long way. Of course I don't live in Pittsburgh anymore. Never again will I return. I don't like the big city, but I recommend this place if a person is in need. 3 out of 5.

Tried getting in there for 2 years always booked. Would stop by daily for a long time, then weekly, then monthly. Left my # every time. Never got a call. Now stuck in Meadville, I can get back to Pittsburgh just need a place. I've tried and still trying. Going no where with any homeless agencies. Unfortunately the winter shelter is closed.

After 7yrs I finally got a caseworker who actually helped me gain self sufficiency. He did it in 30 days. No bs. Very nice young man. This place is infested with roaches..bedbugs..filth..attitude..drug addicts..alcoholics..sexual harrasment..drugs and anything you can think of going on in your local project. Absolute last resort. Not everyone was bad but it was definitely to be expected. Make an effort to never end up here.

Dirty building inside and out. Drug users and disrespectful crowd coming from inside and out. Always fights. Police and/or ambulance here at least once a day. Front desk receptionist, pat, is extremely rude, racist and disrespectful. Not handicap accessible. Only one operating elevator that never works.
