If you’re not into this things, it’s a quick visit. If you’re into these things, you might be here a while since they have things here up close that’s not easily found elsewhere. This group is working to get the rest of the exhibits moved here from the nearby, and not open to the public Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake.

Unless you are a hardcore aviation, missile or military buff, it takes quite a bit of effort to get into the Museum. You need to do a background check at the entrance of the active military base. It could upward to 1 hour to get it done. However, the museum has a lot of information on missile history and development since Rattlesnake anti-air missile is developed here. However, it is a great little museum you won't see anywhere else.

Great museum. Gives you a lot of information about China Lake Navy Base, the history of the Ridgecrest area, and the weapons developed in the area. If you visit the area, this is a must stop for the Ridgecrest experience.

So much interesting information! It's neat to understand the background of China Lake! They show you a video first that explains the history of the area, then you are free to look through a small indoor and outdoor area of exhibits as well.

A nice little museum about a place where people find new and creative ways to end other people’s lives. Many weapons have been tested and refined here. Very interesting
