I have donated two of my ponytails here and they have always been great with communication! I received an email saying they got my ponytail and I received a certificate of appreciation. I also purchased a patch from them and they sent it via USPS with no difficulty. I like their mission much more than Locks of Love since the children receive their wigs or hairpieces completely free of charge. It is a donation after all!!!

I recently cut my hair again for a third donation, and I am a little weary to see some of the recent reviews about communication. I just want to make sure my ponytail isn't lost after growing my hair out the last 2.5 years. I also read they may be going through some financial trouble, but I am not sure how reputable that website is. I will update this review once I send in my next donation.

After much research, this is the only organization that accepts all hair types; processed, grey, colored, permed, chemically treated, etc. They are truly non profit (unlike Locks for Love, whom sells the hair they do not use for profit). Children with hair loss provides wigs and hair replacements at no cost to their recipients until they turn 21. I just donated over 12” to Children With Hairloss.

Donated 4 foot pony tail over a month ago .still waiting on my shirt an bracelet. What's up ..I paid u Xtra for who ever gets my hair .don't let me down , I'm still waiting for Xtra money an stuff ZDO I GET MY SHIRT AN BRACELET. THANKS JENNIFER HAFL

I am not one to give bad reviews unless there is a very good reason for it. I am not sure what happened with this organization since my last donation in 12/21, but this latest one? A NIGHTMARE. I have tracking confirmation that it was received. They deny receiving it. I have gone back and forth with them several times, only to be explained that they only get their mail 2x a week from the post office, and that they have searched high and low and its not there. UM, it is there, either at the post office, or with them. I had also enclosed a monetary donation for the t-shirt and bracelet. NOTHING. I had to send the tracking confirmation 2x because they claim they did not get it the first time. 23 months of hard -worked -for (thick) -hair to donate to a cause that had been top notch with my last donation. Couple all of that, with the fact that after doing some research , this organization only has a 1/4 rating on charity navigator-the worst rating you can get. Meaning, they are struggling with sustainability and financial issues. RUN. Donate your hair instead to locks of love. They now accept color treated hair, and will accept donations of 10". Plus-they have a 4/4 rating on charity navigator.
It is a shame -truly, that I have had to work harder to ensure my hair was received to help a child in need than they have.

I don’t know where to begin, CWHL is such a great organization, my 8 year old daughter has a severe case of Trichotillomania and has pulled out most of her own hair, we went to a local wig shop who did not specialize in children’s wigs and recommended CWHL. We sent in my daughters information along with her pictures before hair loss and after, as well as her measurements, and about a week later a wig and care kit was at my doorstep. My daughter put it on and her face lit up when she looked in the mirror, She is beautiful with or without hair but self esteem and self love at 8 years old is priceless. THANK YOU CWHL!!! you made my and my daughters day and made future days ahead better for her.

The first time I donated they sent me an email saying they go my hair. Then the 2nd and 3rd time no email saying they received my hair and each time 10-16 inches was donated, I donated a lot, so I wanted to make sure they got it. I emailed several times with no reply. I'm unfortunately going to have to find somewhere else to donate because I don't want to keep donating and not knowing if they got it. My hair grows super fast I would hate for it to go to waste.
