This college is fortunate to have the best professor in the world - Nancy Spradlin, whose teaching methods, organization, and professionalism are remarkable! I wish some of my university professors were like her. Even five years later, my classmates and I remember her with gratitude 🙏

Tried to take a welding class at Cerritos since I heard their welding program is good.
I tried to walk in for consultation, but they were leaving. An African American lady gave me really good directions what to do.
Registered and everything to come to realization I can't get a consuling appointment since they only schedule a week ahead, and I can't do the online one since I work 9 to 6..
Then I looked at the classes to realize they don't even offer evening classes.
So I guess better back to trade school or learn how to weld from a buddy's shop.
Time is money...
The campus looks really nice though.

Absolutely great service school, wonderful teachers and I have never attended a school where they are so keen on helping you with your future! The only con I've ever had was lack of counselors and how its extremely hard to book one. You have to stay up until midnight on a Monday to book an appointment because by the time 8 am pulls through, they are already booked up.

I went here for several years. The quality of teachers is fantastic, I rarely had a concern for my grades or for their ability to teach me the material. However, I do not have the same compliments for some of the administrative and counseling staff. There are some Admissions staff that were helpful and kind, while others could not care less that there were endless issues within the system. As a returning student, I was shocked and upset over the lack of concern and subpar help I received after my application couldn’t be processed and I was unable to apply for classes in time. Don’t bother emailing Admissions, they will not reply to you - call and call and call. Highest praise to Rinda Kaing for actually trying to help me and expressing her care & concern for my application issue. The online portals are irritating, non-functional at times, and difficult to navigate. If i hadn’t had step-by-step help from a former student (my aunt), i would have been unable to understand how to apply for classes at all. There is no parking structure on campus, only enormous parking lots where it’s difficult to find a space in time for class. Be careful when selecting your Counselor / Academic advisor. I’ve met with some that have no concern for your path to a UC or Cal state and rather treat your scheduled sessions as a therapy appointment rather than a guiding meeting to solidify your future. However, I have also met with counselors that were extremely helpful and pointed in their efforts to help me. Overall, the help and support you receive here is very hit or miss. Shop around if and when you can. Would I go back here? I wish there was a closer college that I had the option to attend, because Cerritos gave me my associates degree and chronic migraines.
