I have used laborers from you several times with no issues. That is why I keep coming back. I obtain workers from you guys for roofing assistance on 1000 sqft of my own roof on 1-18 and 1-19. I was very clear with what I wanted with Alba. I needed a few guys fit enough for the job, who knew what they were doing, and had their own tools. I provided all supplies. I know how to roof myself so I could provide direction and help. You sent Caesar, Mauricio, and Francisco. You told me that it would be $35 dollars an hour each and that they would use their own tools at no additional cost.

When they got to my house Saturday at 9am, I explained what I wanted. I was told that it was too much work, but they would do it for $500 each per day. They said they could get the job done in the two days scheduled. I already had everything set up and supplies delivered. So I agreed because spending $3000 on labor didn’t seem unreasonable to me and I figured they could use the money.

Those two days became a 4 day nightmare! My roof still isn’t done, Ceasar and Mauricio did nothing but fight with each other, and they demanded more money to complete the roof. I paid them another $500 each on Monday but refused to do so on Tuesday. They told me on Monday that they were coming back on Tuesday to finish the roof. I thought that meant they didn’t want money because I already paid each man $1500 to do the job but was wrong. Tuesdays evening when they packed up to leave they demanded another $500 each. I refused and demanded that they leave.

I now have an incomplete roof and was swindled by the three guys you sent. You need to correct this by sending someone to finish my roof at your expense and giving me back the $2500 dollars I was swindled out of. These three men should not be used as laborers again.

I have had wonderful and super workers from the Graton Labor Center both for the garden, Painting, Fence repair, and house cleaning! Staff is THE Best....very friendly and helpful. And the center is a very humane alternative to street hiring as well as informing these workers of their rights and how to maneuver themselves in an unfamiliar country...for some. Some have lived here a long time. Also the center provides daily English classes and health services and extra food sometimes arrives from farms. Love the GDLC!.

Generally, very happy with everybody we have hired and we use this service a lot. One criticism in the face of coronavirus though. These guys need to be provided with masks and be told to use them when interfacing with clients.

I asked on the phone was two workers to help load some not too heavy furniture into a van and I supplied the address and the workers were to meet me at the address at 8:00 AM. At about 8:15 no one showed up so I called again was was given an apology and told that they had people lined up and would be there by 9:00 AM. Again no one showed and I called and was told they were enroute. By 10:00 AM I gave up and called to cancel my request which they did with yet another apology. I then went to Fulton and picked up two workers who followed me to the job site and worked out very well! Never again with the Centro Laboral De Graton
