I found 'my tribe' of like minded people who believe that changing your thinking not only changes your life, but changes the world. The interspiritual teaching of the Science of Mind teaches that all paths lead to an awakened life. The door to the Center for Spiritual Living Chico is open to all travelers on their spiritual path.

I Am Elleyo (Leo). I have had a profound experience with Center for Spiritual Living, Chico.

In November 2017, I decided that I would like to check out CSL Chico. I had been exposed to the Philosophy while @ Skyway rehab, I was headed down a deadly path. I was abusing alcohol, opioids, and going to the hospital every other day to get opioids.
I decided that it was not a good idea to continue on this path because I have a teenager. When I came to the center in November 2017, I had had so many changes in my life that were major life crisis.
Firstly, I had just
•ended a relationship of 20+ years,
•moved out of my house into an apartment,
•stopped using opioids/narcotics, •gave up alcohol,
•got up out of bed every day after being bed bound for 10+ years, •lost 65 pounds,
•started parenting a teenager all on my own for the first time parenting in 12 years,
•Lost my father (who had been my Source of security for 43 years),
•had begun rehab and finished it, •had been inspired, while in rehab, by the S.O.M. Philosophy Spiritual Leader, who did A.M. classes M-F, Rev. Andy from Paradise.
Before I actually came into the Center, I attempted to attend several times, every time ending up driving home because I just could not do it. When I did finally walk through the doors, I was greeted by wonderful people with bright spirits.
I received hugs, love, validation, interest in who I was as a being, and overall I was enveloped with the Spirit. It was expressing through every individual that was there. I remember feeling as though I were the actual prodigal son.
I remember feeling as though I were attending a family reunion with extended family members.
I had never felt such Love, Joy, Pure Positive Energy, acceptance, abundance, validation, and inspiration, in my 4 decades on this planet. I felt uniquely connected with each Spirit who had approached me that day. I felt as though I had come home, at last.
I remember, so many people have been so inquisitive about who I was as an expression of Spirt. I do not know, something just changed in me.
That first Sunday. I felt alive, I felt seen, I felt special, I felt the Energies of the Universe in all of the building. I had felt so connected and as One with All, as I could not have ever imagined. As a recovering addict, I was hooked and I found my drug of choice, S.O.M.
I have found it to be a wonderful choice, because I love learning so very much and with such a great passion.
I took many classes and workshops. I immersed completely into this philosophy. I can only say positive things about my experience. I Am no longer the same individual that I was when I started.

I feel very welcome at The Center for Spiritual Living Chico. The people are very friendly. There is a fabulous Music Program from the congregation songs, choir, special music and a fantastic Pianist.

Great philosophy, but not particularly friendly individuals. Need to practice what is preached. Cliquish. Older population seems not to welcome newcomers. Always exceptions. Sincerity? Who can smile the biggest & the most. Who can look most attentive (rapt) while listening, etc. You get the picture.

I was looking for a place to host a baby shower when I came upon this place. Multiple rooms and kitchen to rent for a very reasonable price. Nice, clean and spacious. Super friendly sweet people. We will definitely be coming back!

We had held a celebration of life at this facility. The staff is amazing and friendly. I loved that they had multiple spaces we could use to fit the needs of our event. Would highly recommend.
