I went through the long courses dedicated my time to be a volunteer. After completing my courses and doing all of my steps to be on the list, my phone number changed. I then received an email from my CASA representative saying they could not reach me and I was being removed. I call back right away to explain my phone number had changed and I did update the database & they could have simply reached out via email as they did and I would have gotten back in touch. My CASA rep then said it’s too late I have to be removed because i couldn’t be reached by phone. I dedicated so much time and effort to go through those classes and graduate and receive a certificate just to get dismissed like nothing. As though I didn’t matter nor have a say. Extremely disappointed in the program

I'm a CASA volunteer and I love it. My supervisor and all the staff are amazing and very helpful. CASA stands for a great cause... to help the children of LA county... our children. So many more children can use an advocate. Takes one person to make a great impact in a child's life. I highly recommend this program to someone who has a desire to help young kids and teens and want to make a difference in their lives.

I'm a CASA advocate and volunteer and I sincerely believe this is one of the best nonprofits out there. CASA has been around since 1985 and hope the nonprofit will continue to thrive and support foster youth and families for generations to come. There are 30,000 foster kids in the LA county and only 867 CASA's. We need more LA CASA's! Donate or become a volunteer! #iamforthechild

As a former teacher, Big Brother and such… have to say that CASA/LA is one of the absolute best NP organizations I’ve ever had the pleasure of serving. Great training, great support while on the case, friendly and kind management, and most of all —- truly child-focused. 💯👏🏼
