I have a friend and he is staying here. I heard they are strict with the daily routine. They wake up, have meals at set times, clean up, church service, doors locked at 7pm, clothes washed nightly. Sounds like a good place to me. Very orderly and lots of rules. I love it and recommend going if you're in a tough spot in life. Thank you Carriage Town Ministries for being there to help so many in need.

Worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. 0 stars this was my first time at a shelter the staff immediately felt like I came in with a attitude. The staff was very rude like they had a personal issue with me I work from 6pm-4:30am they kicked me out for attending work misplaced my belongings for two days confirmed they had them in laundry when I showed the next morning a lady that I never seen before greeted me at the door and said I’m not letting you in without a work note I then asked her for my belongings that they misplaced she then said you can get them but not right now until you get a work note that then put me behind on sleep causing me to miss out on sleep for my next shift slept in my car 4hrs I still never received a call when Brittany showed up I still don’t have my belongings I didn’t no where I was supposed to shower or anything co workers were ghetto climbing over front check in desk kids running around everywhere yelling I made a request for a coat and the director went straight to what I make and replied you can get your own coat I have low tolerance for hypocrites I would like my belongings if anything I can’t help if they want you in at 6pm and I work in Pontiac at Amazon 6pm-4:30am that’s discrimination wasted my gas drove to flint where you am a resident to be locked outside in the cold to jeopardize my job and rest I’m constantly calling this place every day, trying to get a hold of Delphene, who put my things away. No response and Brittany the administrator isn’t doing much to help. In the process of filing a complaint against this place. I’ve been calling for 3weeks now and I’m really getting upset

Such an amazing organization that does so much for the community! We had the pleasure of bringing lunch in for the team for Christmas! It was great to be able to do this and see what they do! Thank you for everything you do!

An Amazingly wonderful organization. Truly helped me so much to get on my feet. When I was at my lowest point. And they continue to grow in faith helping more men, women and families than ever. I look forward to the blessed privilege of becoming a volunteer for them in the near future.

I went there to donate coats that were left at work from the pandemic. They were very happy to have them. If you have any donations, please make sure you wash them prior to sending them here. They need everything right away so if you can wash them it makes it easier on them

Stayed here back in 2009 and can honestly say that the memory I have of living in this shelter is a thought that I would like gone out of the memory of my mind for the history of time. Dallas Gatlin and his son are cleary nothing more than homeless overlords running Carraige Town Ministries for the perpetrued of gain. There's absolutely no doubt about that! Needless to say, I have gone on with my life and become a successful business owner. Praise be to the one true Lord Jesus Christ!!!!

I'm impressed with this place. They are not just an emergency shelter for the homeless.... they also teach their clients to make them more employable, such as resume-writing and computer skills. They are a safe place to sleep, and have storage lockers to hold all their possessions while they sleep. Or go to work.
