I joined this bank solely because my father is a border patrol agent, but the service has been terrible.

The bank is currently switching their card host without any prior notice, and I was hit with a fraudulent charge from McDonald's, resulting in my card being blocked.

I visited the Corral Canyon branch expecting to receive a new card, but they informed me I would have to wait 10 days for it to arrive.

After 10 days with no card, I went back to the branch. There, I encountered a woman from Oceanside in a wheelchair who was also being denied a new card. She had received the same fraud notice as me.

It appears the bank purposely committed fraud on our accounts to block our cards, hold our funds, and reject issuing new cards.

The woman left without a solution, and to make matters worse, when the manager asked the clerk to check if my card had been sent, it had not.

DO NOT JOIN THIS BANK!

Been with this Credit Union since I was 14 mow I'm in my 40's, the staff has changed but the friendliness of the staff has not. Always courteous and polite. They can help you answer your questions and take the time to find out if they don't have the answers right away.

I haven't been able to obtain a new card because their debit card machine has been down all week and their next nearest branch is far away. Also, their app needs more features like "add travel notification" instead of having to call.

Chula Vista Branch is always welcoming and providing great costumer service. I have 3 car loans and my HELOC with them. The majority of my coworkers bank at Cabrillo CU. I will recommend Cabrillo, always. Sent plenty of coworkers there.
